وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ 9 ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ 10 وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ 11 |

9. Wa la-'in sa-‘altahum-man khalaqas-samaawaati wal-‘arza la yaquulunna khalaqa-hunnal- 'Aziizul-'Aliim. 10. ‘Allazii ja-'ala lakumul-‘arza mahdanw-wa ja-'ala lakum fiihaa subulal-la-'allakum tahtaduun. 11. Wallazii
nazzala minas-samaaa-'i maaa-'am- biqadar. Fa-‘ansharNaa bihii
baldatam-maytaa. Kazaalika tukhrajuun. |

9. And
if you asked them, “Who created the heavens and the earth?” They would say,
“The Mighty, the Knower created them.” 10. He
who made the earth a habitat for you, and traced pathways for you on it, that
you may be guided. 11.
He who sends down water from the sky in due proportion; and so We revive
thereby a dead land. Thus you will be brought out. |
Arabians of Makkah used to admit “Allaah”, but this acceptance was verbal only. They used to consider that creation of the world and its great works are in the Charge of God Almighty, but daily routine little works have been handed over to gods and Stars etc. The same thought has been falsified in these verses. It is commanded: Ask from them! Who created the heavens and the earth? It will come out from their mouths immediately: Allaah (God). But after accepting it, ascribing plurality to Him is fault of their sense, because declaration of considering Allaah as Omnipotent and the Most Powerful is hidden in having belief that Allaah is the Creator and He is the Knower of everything. They say this by their tongues but their hearts do not believe in it that there is none who may have so much Power and Knowledge except Him.
In fact, He has Divine Power and Omnipotence. All useful things grow and exist by His Mercy. He is Who bestowed convenience and facilities of meeting with one another to them who live in far flung areas, after creating the earth He made paths (both) in the land and in the sea. Then He caused to rain water from the sky, by which dearth land becomes green. Understand from it also that God Almighty will reproduce the entire mankind too after death. By understanding in this way, you will come to know easily that except God Almighty; there is no one who has any power.
