1. Read: In the name of your Lord Who creates,  . Creates man from a clot.  3. Read: And your Lord is the Most Bounteous,  4. Who teaches by the pen,  5. Teaches man that which he knew not.  6. Nay, but verily man is rebellious  7. That he thinks himself independent!  8. Lo! Unto your Lord is the return.  9. Have you seen him who dissuades  10. A slave when he prays?  11. Have you seen if he relies on the guidance (of Allah)  12. Or enjoins piety?  13. Have you seen if he denies (Allah's guidance) and is froward?

It is commanded: O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): Recite in the name of Allaah Almighty because only He is your Lord. He is Who created the entire universe, Who knows all what He Creates and how He creates. You can guess about His Divine Power from it that He created the mankind from a lifeless matter which was in the form of a clinging substance, which did neither know anything and nor could ask. Allaah Almighty taught the mankind everything by the Pen whatsoever he did not know.  But in spite of it, usually the mankind transgresses, because he sees himself self-sufficient. He rebels because he is careless. However, he will return to his Lord in the life after death.

Behold Abu Jahal who forbids an obedient servant of Allaah Almighty {Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)} when he prays? Better for him was that he had to choose the Straight Path and guide others also. But alas! He got ready to deny and turned away.

Why do you not believe in the Day of Judgement + Introduction of Chapter “’ALAQ” 96

Why do you not believe in the Day of Judgement (L-3475)

فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ 7  أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ 8

7.  Fama  yukazzibuka  ba'-du  bid-Diin.  8.  ‘AlaysAllaahu  bi-‘Ahkamil-haakimiin. (Section 1/20)

7. So who henceforth will give the lie to you about the judgment?  8. Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges?

It is commanded: While it is known that in the world, the mankind has been thrown in the lowest degree after bestowing a portion from all kinds of powers, so that he may know Allaah Almighty by own efforts, do righteous works and improve himself for acquiring good retribution from his Lord, then there is no such reason of disbelief in the Day of Resurrection. How can it be that Who has made all such arrangements, bestowed good powers, sense and understanding, and then He will leave the mankind after death without trial, without punishing to the wrongdoers and without giving retribution of righteous works? There can be no other thought but that Allaah Almighty is The Most Just of judges.

Chapter Ninety-Five is over here. It has been caused the mankind to understand with clear proof that surely the Day of Resurrection will come, punishment on wicked deeds and reward of righteous deeds will be given to every individual. Allaah Almighty has made perfect arrangement for the guidance of the mankind and for above mentioned purpose.

Chapter ’ALAQ” (The Clot) - 96

In accordance with the order, this is ninety-sixth Chapter of Holy Qur’an. It was revealed during initial days of Islam in Makkah, but its first five verses were revealed first of all, which were sent down to Muhammad, the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). With effect from many days earlier, he was paying attention to the Creator of the universe. Eventually on a day, Gabriel, an angel (peace be upon him) came along with Divine Revelation and said to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): Recite! He said: I am illiterate. Gabriel embraced, pressed him hard and said again: Recite! He replied the same. Third time also, Gabriel embraced him again with pressure and said: Recite in the name of your Lord Who created. No matter if you are untaught. Speaking the name of Allaah will teach you reading. He can produce any attribute which He desires to produce in anyone. Your Lord is That Who created everything and created the mankind from a clinging substance. Now you must recite in the name of your Lord Who is the most Generous. Only He is Who taught the mankind everything by the Pen and described him that which he did not know. This is explanation of five verses which were revealed first of all.

After that when the people of Makkah did not listen to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and began to molest him, Abu Jahal troubled him in offering prayer and talked like the haughty people, then remaining verses of this Chapter were revealed.

It was commanded: The mankind gets ready to transgress being careless. He must know that indeed, to his Lord is the return. Allaah Almighty will ask: Why did you rebel in haughtiness? After that there is mention of Abu Jahal’s obstinacy and he has been threatened very severely.

Arrangement of man’s salvation

Quran Chapter 95: 1 to 6 (Pt-30, Stg-7) درس قرآن

Arrangement of man’s salvation (L-3474)

Chapter TIIN” (The Fig) - 95

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

1.  Wat-TIINI  waz-Zaytuuni.  2.  Wa  Tuuri  Siiniina.  3.  Wa  haazal-Baladil-‘amiin.  4.  Laqad  khalaq-Nal-‘insaana  fiii  ‘ahsani  taqwiim.  5.  Summa radadNaahu  ‘asfala  saafiliin.  6.  ‘Ill-lal-laziina  ‘aamanuu  wa  'amilus-saalihaati  falahum  ‘ajrun  gayru  mamnuun.

1. By the fig and the olive,  2. By Mount Sinai,  3. And by this land made safe;  4. Surely We created man of the best stature  5. Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low,  6. Save those who believe and do good works, and theirs is a reward unfailing.

In this Chapter, at first the attention of mankind is drawn towards fig and olive. Accordingly these both things provide good food for mankind’s body. Then there is a reminder concerning the Mount Sinai, where Torah was bestowed to Moses (peace be upon him) which provided spiritual food to the mankind. After that, there is mention concerning a Secure City (Makkah), where the last Scripture was revealed upon the last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), in which bodily and spiritual (both kinds of food for mankind) have been explained.

After describing about full arrangement of bringing up the mankind and his training, it is commanded: We have fashioned the mankind into the best of forms, and both (the outward and inward) powers are perfectly placed in him. Moreover, We have made best arrangement of his breeding, guidance and training. But in the world he has been thrown in the lowest degree, so that he may be examined that whether he improves himself by following his good powers; or evil powers hidden into him ensnare him into their traps. Now he must understand it carefully: The person who will follow good powers, believe in Allaah Almighty and do righteous works, such good reward will be given to him which will be perpetual and fruitful equally not only in this life but in the Hereafter too. But the person, who will be entangled in evil deeds, will remain in confusion not only during worldly life but on the Day of Resurrection he will be tormented very severely.

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

1.  ‘Alam  nashrah  laka  sadrak.  2.  Wa  waza'-naa  'anka  wizrak.  3.  ‘Allazii  ‘anqaza  zahrak.  4.  Wa  rafa'-Naa  laka  zikrak.  5.  Fa-‘inna  ma-'al-‘usri yusraa.  6.  ‘Inna  ma-'al-'usri  yusraa.  7.  Fa-‘izaa  faragta  fansab.  8.  Wa  ‘ilaa  Rabbika  fargab.

(Section 1/19)

1. Have We not caused your bosom to dilate,  2. And eased you of the burden  3. Which weighed down your back;  4. And exalted your fame?  5. But lo! With hardship goes ease,  6. Lo! With hardship goes ease;  7. So when you are relieved, still toil  8. And strive to please your Lord.

In the times when this Chapter was revealed; most of the people were enemies of the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and only a few were believers. Courage of bearing troubles incurred by the oppressors was borne into the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) due to above mentioned verses, in which it was proclaimed clearly: Strength of enduring is bestowed to your heart by Us, and We have given you spirit to lift up heavy burden of the position of Messenger-hood. And We have exalted your mention among Prophets and Angels (peace be upon them). In future, your name will be called out everywhere in the Summons to Prayers (Azaan) until the last Hour.

Bear in mind! There are two conveniences with every difficulty. Your entire worldly difficulties will be eased. Now your work is it, “when you finish your duties; you must pay full attention to your Lord and stand up for His worship.

Chapter Ninety Four is over. We must learn from it that every time we should remember the blessings of Allaah Almighty and be thankful to Him, lose not our spirit in troubles, worship our Lord wholeheartedly and strive to please Him. He will ease our every difficulty.

Chapter TIIN” (The Fig) - 95

This is Ninety Fifth Chapter of Holy Qur’an according to order, which was revealed during primary days of Islam in Makkah. There is an indication in this Chapter towards physical and spiritual support of mankind. It has been described in it: We arranged to bring up the mankind properly in every respect. Then We created the mankind in such a way which is the best. Our Prophets (peace be upon them) and Our Scriptures give evidence for the same. All kinds of good and bad strengths have been gathered into him. If bad forces overcame upon him, he would go to the bottom, and if he chose good things, good retribution would be given to him which would never be over. When the mankind was ensnared in such trial, then who can falsify the Day of Resurrection, reward and punishment? Bear in mind! This world has been working under the same eternal Law and Decision which has been prescribed by the Lord of the lords.
