State of the Hell (L-3300)

إِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ فِيهَا سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِىَ تَفُورُ 7  تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ ٱلْغَيْظِ كُلَّمَآ أُلْقِىَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَآ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ 8  قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍ كَبِيرٍ 9

7.  ‘Izaaa  ‘ulquu  fiihaa  sami-'uu  lahaa  shahiiqanw-wa  hiya  tafuur. 8.  Takaadu  tamayyazu  minal-gayz.  Kullamaaa  ‘ulqiya  fiihaa  fawjun  sa-‘alahum  khazanatu-haaa  ‘alam  ya'-tikum  Naziir. 9.  Qaaluu  balaa  qad  jaaa-'anaa  Naziir.  Fakazzabnaa  wa  qulnaa  maa  nazza-lAllaahu  min-  shay’.  ‘In  ‘antum  ‘illaa  fii  zalaalin- kabiir.

7. When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boils up, 8. As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner? 9. They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah has naught revealed; you are in naught but a great error.

It was commanded earlier: Evil spirits which are called the Devils hover hither and thither for spreading mischief and disturbance in the world. For smiting them, bright missiles come out from the stars which follow and repel them. On the Day of Resurrection they will be thrown into the Fire of the Hell along with those who disbelieved in Allaah Almighty during their worldly life.

It is commanded: When they will be divided in different groups and thrown into the Hell, they will hear from the Hell a dreadful inhaling while it will boil up with anger and they will feel as it is near to burst with rage. When any of a company from them will be thrown into it, its keepers (angels) will ask them, "How have you come and been entangled here? Did in the world not come to you a Messenger of Allaah Almighty (peace be upon him) to warn?" They will reply in a sad voice," Yes, Prophets (peace be upon them) had come to us for frightening, but we denied and said: You are liars. Allaah has neither appointed you a Prophet and nor revealed anything on you. You are not but in great error. We don’t care."

Shining stars (L-3299)

ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ 4  وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا رُجُومًا لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ 5  وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ 6

4.  Summar-ji-'il-basara  karra-tayni  yanqalib  ‘ilaykal-basaru  khaasi-'anw-wa  huwa  hasiir. 5.  Wa  laqad  zayyannas-samaaa-'ad-dunyaa  bi-masaa-biiha  wa  ja-'alNaahaa  rujuumal-lish-sha-yaatiini  wa  ‘a'-tad-Naa  lahum  'azaabas-Sa-'iir. 6.  Wa  lillaziina  kafaruu  bi-Rabbi-him  'Azaabu  Jahannam.  Wa bi'-sal-masiir.

4. Then look again and yet again, your sight will return unto you weakened and made dim. 5. And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame. 6. And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey's end!

It is commanded: Look at the scenes created by the Omnipotent again and again. Your vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued, and will not be able to find any defect in the creation of Allaah Almighty. Behold! He has certainly beautified the nearest heaven with shining stars and made flames of fire from those stars which are thrown at the devils who try to climb up for hearing the Unseen matters, so that they may deceive the people by telling them invisible things mixed up with true and false; and mislead them to stray.  Allaah Almighty has prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. Like this, those who disbelieved in their Lord, for them is the punishment of the Hell, which is a wretched destination.

Both kinds of people are being caused to understand by describing these things, so that those who do not believe in Allaah Almighty, they should believe in Him after watching the Signs of His Divine Power. And those who believe must be aware of His Real Epithets, so that they may escape from polytheism.

Sovereignty is of God (L-3298)

Chapter “MULK” – (The Sovereignty) - 67

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 1  ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفُورُ 2  ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٍ طِبَاقًا مَّا تَرَىٰ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مِن تَفَٰوُتٍ فَٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٍ 3

1.  TABAARAKALLAZII  bi-YadiHil-MULK; Wa Huwa  'alaa  kulli  shay-‘in  Qadiir. 2.  Allazii  khalaqal-Mawta  wal-Hayaata  li-yabluwakum  ‘ayyukum  ‘ahsanu  'amalaa.  Wa  Huwal-'Aziizul-Gafuur. 3.  ‘Allazii  khalaqa  sab-'a  samaawaatin-  tibaaqaa.  Maa  taraa  fii  khalqir-Rahmaani  min-  tafaawut.  Farji-'il-basara,  hal  taraa  min- futuur.

1. Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things. 2. Who has created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 3. Who has created seven heavens in harmony. You (Muhammad) can see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Can you see any rifts?

There are two such kinds of people among the human beings:

1.   Those who do not have belief in Allaah Almighty, they are deniers and disbelievers.

2.   Those who say themselves Muslims, but they do not understand Allaah Almighty correctly as they have to understand. Its result is polytheism (belief in a plurality of God).

Islam says at first to the people, “Believe in Allaah Almighty, otherwise you will regret. Correct your thoughts concerning your Lord”.

Therefore, it is commanded: Your Lord is One, Allaah. In His Hand is the Dominion. He is the Blessed, that is to say, all excellences are of His Own; which can never be decreased, but those increase automatically. He can do whatsoever He desires to do. He is over all things Competent. He is Who gave you life and created death. The aim of coming to life and going to death is to test you as to which of you is best in deed and whose deeds are bad. He is the Exalted in Might and the Forgiving. Allaah Almighty created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So you must return your vision to the sky; you will find in it no breaks.

Introduction of “The Sovereignty” (L-3297)

Chapter “MULK” – (The Sovereignty) - 67

In order, this is sixty-seventh Chapter of Holy Qur’an. It was revealed in the middle times of stay at Makkah. Those people have been instructed in this Chapter who used to take the name of Allaah, but did not believe in Him as they had to believe. They have been commanded: Believe in Allaah Almighty in such a way that His virtues have been springing from within Himself without interference of any other external thing. He is the Sovereign of the entire universe. All forces and powers are in His possession. He can do whatsoever He desires to do. Entire creatures are created by Him. His Divine Power is apparent everywhere. He is the Creator of seven heavens which have been spreading together one over one in layers. He created everything according to prescribed ways and rules. Everything exists at its proper suitable place and has been performing its duty properly. As much you will observe His creatures thoughtfully, so much your astonishment will increase. You will be tired of looking them but His Wonders will never go to an end. The sky glitters with stars. It seems that some bright broken things have been running here and there. These are balls of fire, which are thrown on the Devils for repelling them, so that they may not spread wrong news in the world. The Hell has been prepared for such devils, and those will be cast into it also who disbelieve in Allaah Almighty. They will lose their senses after looking roar and anger of the Hell.

The angels (peace be upon them) will ask from them: Did the Prophets (peace be upon them) not come for frightening you from this Fire that you have been brought here Today for throwing into it? They will say: The Warners came to frighten us but we did not care, and considered that they were liars. They will accept their obstinacy and say: If we had used our senses, understood it and obeyed the Prophets (peace be upon them), then we would have not been entangled Today in this misfortune.

Opposite to them, the Believers who used to fear Allaah Almighty and do righteous works; will be in peace and ease. Great reward will be given to them because they believed in Allaah Almighty and His Messengers (peace be upon them) and believed in such things which were not visible to them.

Then it has been advised to the mankind that they must fear Allaah Almighty and be hopeful of His Mercy. He punished severely in the world to those who disbelieved. None can get deliverance without having belief in Him. Think for awhile! A mankind is going straight forward, while the other is going groping on his face, can those both be equal? No, not at all. Therefore you must obey Allaah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and believe in the Day of Resurrection. It is the only Way of Salvation.

Review of Chapter “Banning” (L-3296)

Chapter “TAHRIIM” – (Banning) - 66

In this Chapter, it has been instructed to the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): Although the men should adopt good behavior with their wives, even they should keep in mind when they divorce, that their wives must not have any trouble or grief. Even then it is not good to regard them so much that for the sake of them you make the lawful things unlawful for yourselves. If you did so then wives of other people will not let their husbands live in peace. When any husband will ignore fulfilling their desires, they will give reference of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) immediately and compel them.

Therefore, O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): You should avoid unreasonable warm reception of your wives. You must break such oath which you swore for pleasing any wife that “you will not use honey or you will not meet any of your wives meeting with whom is lawful for you according to Religious Law”, and pay its expiation. Do not make unlawful in future, for pleasing any wife, which is lawful for you. So the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) obeyed the Command of Allaah Almighty.

In the same Chapter, it has been instructed to the chaste wives (May Allaah be pleased with them) of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): You must not reap improper advantage from his soft nature and politeness. The Messenger will not fulfill your unlawful demands in future. Repent from molesting him, otherwise if he divorced you, Allaah Almighty; Gabriel (peace be upon him) and all righteous people will support him, and other wives will be provided to him in lieu of you, who will have such qualities which must be in righteous women. Habits of righteous women have been described that whether those are widows or virgins, they are believers, repentant, obedient of their elders and husbands, and they remain engaged in the worship of Allaah Almighty.

After that it has been instructed to Muslim men and women that they should follow the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) step by step. The men are instructed: After making good arrangements for living in the world, it is also your responsibility that you should save the members of your family from the Hell, which cannot be possible without abiding by the Rules and Regulations of the Religion. The disobedient, idolaters and their idols will be fuel of the Hell, and no excuse will be acceptable from them on the Day of Judgement. Muslim men and women must be very careful. Reward of abiding by the Commands of the Religion will be that they will be admitted perpetually in beautiful and green Gardens during the life after death.

Example of the disbelieving women is as the wives of Noah and Lot (peace be upon them). And the example of believing women is as Asiah, the wife of Pharaoh and Mary, the mother of Jesus (peace be upon him). We should understand the Commands mentioned in this Chapter and think: Is the conduct of today’s freedom-loving women according to these commandments?

Condition and consequence of the Good (L-3295)

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱمْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ٱبْنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِى مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِۦ وَنَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ 11  وَمَرْيَمَ ٱبْنَتَ عِمْرَٰنَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِنَا وَصَدَّقَتْ بِكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّهَا وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْقَٰنِتِينَ 12

11.  Wa  zarabAllaahu  masalal-lil-leziina  ‘aama-numra-‘ata  Fi'awn.  ‘Iz  qaalat Rabbibni  lii  'indaKa  baytan fil-Jannati  wa najjinii  min- Fir-‘awna  wa  'amalihii  wa  najjinii  minal- qawmiz- zaalimiin. 12.  Wa  Maryamab-nata  'Imraanal-latiii  ‘ahsanat  farjahaa  fanafakhNaa  fiihi  mir-RuuhiNaa  wa  saddaqat  bi-Kalimaati  Rabbihaa  wa  Kutubihii  wa  kaanat  minal- Qaanitiin. (Section 2/20)

11. And Allah cites an example for those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh when she said: My Lord! Build for me a home with you in the Garden, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from evil-doing folk; 12. And Mary, daughter of 'Imran, whose body was chaste, therefor We breathed therein something of Our Spirit. And she put faith in the words of her Lord and His scriptures, and was of the obedient.

It is commanded: Allaah Almighty described the circumstances of the wives of Pharaoh (‘Asiah daughter of Mazaaham) and Mary daughter of Imran.

Asiah brought up Moses (peace be upon him) in front of Pharaoh. She afterwards remained follower of Moses (peace be upon him) and abstained from Pharaoh’s evil deeds. When Pharaoh knew, he molested her very much and then killed. She used to pray: My Lord, save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people, build for me near You a house in Paradise! At last, Allaah Almighty accepted her supplication. She was martyred and reached Paradise near her Lord.

Mary was the daughter of `Imran. She (May Allaah be pleased with her) used to remain engaged in the worship of Allaah Almighty. Neither she was married and nor she ever committed any sin or evil, but she guarded her chastity. So Allaah Almighty sent His chosen angel Gabriel (peace be upon him), who blew into the opening of her garment, by which she became pregnant and Jesus (peace be upon him) was born from her. She believed in the Words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient. Allaah Almighty will bestow her great reward on the Day of Resurrection.
