Hands and feet will speak - Quran Chapter 36: 65 & 66 (Pt-23, Stg-5) (L-2733) درس قرآن

Quran Chapter 36: 65 & 66 (Pt-23, Stg-5) (L-2733) درس قرآن

Hands and feet will speak

Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

65.  This Day We shall seal up their mouths; and their hands will speak out to Us and their feet will bear witness as to what they used to earn.

66.  And had We willed, We verily could have quenched their eyesight so that they should struggle for the Way. Then how could they have seen?
65.  ‘Al-Yawma  Nakhtimu  ‘alaaa  ‘afwaahihim  wa  tukallimuNaaa  ‘aydiihim  wa  tash-hadu  ‘arjuluhum-  bimaa  kaanuu  yaksibuun.

66.  Wa  law  Nashaaa-‘u  latamasNaa  ‘alaa  ‘a’-yunihim  fastabaqus-Siraata  fa-‘annaa  yubsiruun.

Commentary

TamasNaa – (We could have obliterated), this word is in Past Tense from the word tamsun, which means “to erase, to destroy, to cover up”.

‘Astabaquu – (they would have struggled), it is also in Past Tense from the word sabaqa, which means “to go forth, to press forward”. ‘Astabaaq means “to get on sharply, to run and to spring”.

It is commanded: On the Day of Resurrection, suppose if these guilty people refuse by their mouths from the crimes they committed during their worldly life, then their such refusal will not be useful for them, because We shall seal over their mouths and command to their hands and feet: Speak out about all such evils which they used to commit by your help?

After hearing the Commandment of Allaah Almighty, their hands will begin to speak and say: This person misused us for beating and oppressing others, picked others’ pockets, stole and snatched others’ wealth. The feet will say: This individual visited bad places, attended assemblies of dances, obscene songs and useless matters.

Then it is commanded: They see the scenes of Our Divine Power with their eyes in the universe, but even then they do not admit. As its punishment, if We destroy their eyes so that they may not see the Path, then what will happen? We have given them respite but they do not reap advantage from it.

Satan leads astray

Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

62.  And certainly he hath led astray of you a great multitude. Had ye then no sense?

63.  This is Hell which ye were promised (if ye followed him).

64.  Burn therein this Day for that ye disbelieved.
62.  Wa  laqad  ‘azalla  minkum  jibillan-  kasiiraa.  ‘Afalam  takuunuu  ta’-qiluun.

63.  Haazihii  Jahannamul-latii  kuntum  tuu-‘aduun.

64.  ‘Islaw-hal-Yawma  bimaa  kuntum  takfuruun.

Commentary

Jibillun – (band of the mankind), origin of this word is jabulu, which means “to create” and it is just like the word “khalqun”.

O Children of Adam! Use common sense; otherwise you will have to repent on the Day of Resurrection. Do you not understand that what the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) has been saying while you think much concerning the worldly matters?

It is commanded: It will be said to the disbelievers on the Day of Resurrection: We had sent clear Message for you by means of Our Messengers (peace be upon them) that you should be cautious from Satan and be not deceived by him. He has seduced many people before you and led them astray from the Straight Path. Alas! You lost your wits so much in this matter that your sense could not work properly. You had been brimful in the dream of negligence as much that your eyes have been opened Today after reaching before Us. What can be now while the time of action has been over? It is the Day of Retaliation. Therefore, you have to go to the Hell in exchange of your disbelief and idol-worshipping, and suffer due to your wicked deeds of the world. We tried Our best for causing to understand you but you did never care, turned away from Our Commandments and became disciples of the Devil. Now enjoy it!

Commentary

The people, who disobey those Commandments of Allaah Almighty which He has manifested upon every mankind by means of His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him), they are criminals of Allaah Almighty. It was described in the previous verses that on the Day of Resurrection, Allaah’s obedient people will be very happy in the Paradise, sitting at a place of comfort. They will converse with one another pleasantly and be amused in joyful occupation. Their Lord will say to them “Peace”.

In this verse, it is commanded: it will be said to the criminals who disobeyed the Commands of Allaah Almighty: Stand apart today from Our obedient servants! You will be treated separately. You have no portion in that ease and comfort which We have bestowed today to Our obedient servants.

After that, it will be commanded: O children of Adam! Did I not enjoin upon you for this Day by means of My Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) that you should neither be deceived by Satan and nor worship him because he is a clear enemy to you, you should turn away from him, obey and worship Me only? This is the Straight Path. You should choose this Path if you are well-wishers of yourselves, otherwise it will become very difficult for you to live. As you will be entangled in afflictions during your worldly life, like this you will undergo severe punishment after death also in the Hereafter.

The companions of the Paradise

Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

55.  Lo! The inmates of Paradise this Day are happily employed.

56.  They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining.

57.  Theirs is the fruit (of their good deeds) and theirs (all) that they ask –

58.  The Word from a Merciful Lord (for them) is: Peace!
55.  ‘Inna  ‘As-haabal-Jannatil-Yawma  fii  shugulin-  faakihuun.

56.  Hum  wa  ‘azwaajuhum  fii  zilaalin  ‘alal-‘araaa-‘iki  muttaki-‘uun.

57.  Lahum  fiihaa  faakihatunw-wa  lahum-maa  yadda-‘uun.

58.  “Salaam”.  Qawlam-mir-Rab-bir-Rahiim.

Commentary

Faakihuuna – {they will be amused in (joyful) occupation, they are happily employed}, this word is plural of faakihatun, which is the Subject from fakaha. Fakaha means “amusement”. The words fakihun and faakihatun have also been derived from the same which means “Fruit of all kinds eating which makes the nature happy”.

It was commanded previously: Reward or punishment will be given to every individual according to personal deeds. No one should consider that his/her deeds would never be checked. Thinking so is wrong because there is a Law for the mankind, in accordance with which they have to live in this world. If they will break the Law; they will be punished, but if they will abide by the Rules and Regulations; then good reward of their good deeds will be given to them. And the followers of the Law will go to the Paradise after death. In this verse, there is mention concerning them.

It is commanded: On the Day of Resurrection, those people will be very happy whose abode will be in the Paradise. They will converse with one another pleasantly and be amused in joyful occupation. They and their wives will be sitting in shade, reclining on adorned couches. All kinds of delicious fruit will be placed before them. Everything, required to them, will be provided to them immediately. They will neither have to cry for servants and nor have to wait for anything. Besides these bodily pleasures, their Lord will say to them “Peace” for their spiritual comfort and satisfaction. They will be so much happy at that time.

Commentary

It is commanded: There will be no delay in standing up after coming back to life again. Only a powerful Sound will come out from the Horn and the entire human beings will be resurrected. It will not be possible for any mankind to be scattered and go forth anywhere, but they all will run rashly towards one direction. The Angels (peace be upon them) will bring all of them forcibly and produce in the Court of Allaah Almighty. Neither anyone of them will be able to desert from Him and nor they will find any place for hiding. All mankind will assemble in the Field of Judgment. Court of Allaah Almighty will be established. Believers who did good works will be bestowed with rewards, but the wrongdoers will be tormented due to their wicked deeds and disbelief. There will be full justice for everyone. Even neither any smallest good deed of any person will be wasted and nor any evil of any individual will remain hidden for oneself.

No one will be wronged even equal to a particle. Everyone will own what one earned in the form of reward or punishment. Good works will become comfortable palaces; gardens and rivers, but wrong deeds will appear in the form of cinders of the Fire. This entire would be fruit of that which they used to do during their worldly life. Belief, Prayer, Poor-due, Fast, Pilgrimage, Alms and Charity etc. will become Paradise. Disbelief, disobedience, wickedness and quarrels etc. will appear in the form of the Hell.
