Separation of criminals

Chapter “YAA-SIIIN” - (YASIN) – 36

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ 59  أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ 60  وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ 61  

                                       

59.  And stand aside ye, O ye guilty, this Day! 60.  Did I not charge you, O ye Sons of Adam, that ye worship not the Devil. Lo! he is your open foe!- 61.  And that ye worship Me? That is the Right Path.

59.  Wamtaazul-Yawma  ‘ayyuhal-mujrimuun. 60.  ‘Alam  ‘A’-had  ‘ilaykum  yaa-Baniii-‘Aadama  ‘al-laa  ta’-budush-Shaytaan.  ‘Innahuu  lakum  ‘aduwwum-mubiin. 61.  Wa  ‘ani’-buduuNii.  Haazaa  Siraatum-Mustaqiim.

Commentary

The people, who disobey those Commandments of Allaah Almighty which He has manifested upon every mankind by means of His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him), they are criminals of Allaah Almighty. It was described in the previous verses that on the Day of Resurrection, Allaah’s obedient people will be very happy in the Paradise, sitting at a place of comfort. They will converse with one another pleasantly and be amused in joyful occupation. Their Lord will say to them “Peace”.

In this verse, it is commanded: it will be said to the criminals who disobeyed the Commands of Allaah Almighty: Stand apart today from Our obedient servants! You will be treated separately. You have no portion in that ease and comfort which We have bestowed today to Our obedient servants.

After that, it will be commanded: O children of Adam! Did I not enjoin upon you for this Day by means of My Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) that you should neither be deceived by Satan and nor worship him because he is a clear enemy to you, you should turn away from him, obey and worship Me only? This is the Straight Path. You should choose this Path if you are well-wishers of yourselves, otherwise it will become very difficult for you to live. As you will be entangled in afflictions during your worldly life, like this you will undergo severe punishment after death also in the Hereafter.
