Lesson
Allah Almighty commands that when We delivered them
from that misfortune with Our Mercy and Kindness, then what did they do? Their
all those supplications, prayers and humble petitions, which they asked
earnestly by their tongues and which had come out from their hearts, were
disordered. They began to commit the same evils, wickedness, tyrannies,
plundering and ravaging again.
After that, it is commanded: O people! You will be
punished properly due to your mischief, wickedness, villainy and evils. You can
never hurt Us. If you reaped some worldly benefits by tyrannizing, those will
be only for a few days. At last you have to die and be present before Allah
Almighty. Your entire evil designs will be opened there.
It has been mentioned in the Books of Qur’aan’s
Explanations (Tafaasiir) that after the Conquest of Makkah, Ikramah
son of Abu Jahal left Makkah and ran away in a boat. Suddenly,
after some time, the boat was entangled in a very heavy storm. The sea-man of
the boat said: Attention! Crying out with the name of any idol will not be
useful here. Call aloud one Allah only. He is Who will deliver us from this
disaster. Ikramah minded: Muhammad (grace, blessings and peace of Allah
Almighty be on Him) says the same also, and then he inclined unto Allah
Almighty. Allah Almighty guided him unto the Straight Path, he returned and
embraced Islam.
