91.  What! Now! When hitherto thou hast rebelled and been of the wrongdoers?

92.  So this day We save thee in thy body that thou mayst be a portent for those after thee. And lo! Most of mankind are heedless of Our Portents.

92.  Fal-yaw-ma  Nunaj-jiika  bi-badanika  lita-kuuna  liman  khalfaka  ‘Aayah.  Wa  ‘inna  kasiiram-minan-naasi  ‘an  ‘Aa-yaa-tiNaa  la-gaa-filuun. (Section 10)

Commentary

Rebellious human being does not accept exhortation of any person. Here, the story of a Pharaoh is being narrated but in the world, you will observe the same everywhere. The people like Pharaoh and his supporters have been trying to rule the entire world, and who comes in their way, they become ready to fight and defeat him. When any other powerful person overcomes and they become helpless then they lose their sense. When they feel that they have been dying then they say: We accept, forgive us. But their previous wicked deeds do not permit that they should be forgiven.

It is commanded that when Allah Almighty seized Pharaoh and he was near to die, then he said: I believe that only Allah is Omnipotent. The Children of Israel were right and I was wrong. At that time, it was told to him: If you had performed any good during your kingship, then pity was your right. Whereas, you gripped up your loins to disobey and did nothing but oppression and violence in the world. Now having pity on you is like ensnaring others in hardship.

But because you have declared with your tongue that you are obedient, therefore after drowning your body will be saved from water and it will be thrown on the bank of the sea, so that the people may see you lying helpless and understand that none has any power against Allah Almighty. Therefore, every human being should be only His obedient. Your body will also be a portent of Our Omnipotence in the world.
