Commentary
‘Aj-mi-‘uuu
– (decide), it is a tense
of command from the word ‘ajmaa’, which has come out from the word jama’.
Jama’ means – to gather, to collect. ‘Ajmaa’ means – to
determine, to bring the plan to end by meditating deeply that there is no
weakness or vacuum in it now. Another meaning of this word is – gathering all
partisans of own for a decision. Here; the above mentioned word has been used
for both meanings.
Gumma-tan
– (complication, doubt),
this word has been derived from gam. Gam means such confusion,
perplexity or doubt, due to which one feels affliction but cannot judge –why?
It is commanded: O Our Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be
upon him)! Cause to hear them by reciting the story of Prophet Noah (peace be
upon him). He (peace be upon him) used to admonish His nation by all means that
they should believe in Allah Almighty and obey Him. When they did not carry out
His (peace be upon him) instructions, then Noah (peace be upon him) said: Go,
look at closely and make plans against Me; if you don’t like. Collect your
entire false gods and give Me (peace be upon him) no respite. I also turn
towards Allah Almighty.
