Commentary

The people who are ill-disposed or refractory, they don’t care about any other but give importance to themselves. Such people are unlucky by birth. If someone tries to cause to understand them that “the consequence of wicked deeds can never be good”, they will never listen to him. Concerning such people, it was commanded earlier: When some people become habitual of immorality and bad behavior, and do not refrain from their stubbornness in any condition, then it should be considered that they have been cursed by Allaah Almighty. O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him): Your advice will not have any effect upon them. Even then you should carry on your work, because such people also exist in the world who will believe in your Sayings and by giving up evil deeds, they will become obedient of Allaah Almighty.

It is commanded: O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him): Warning by you will carry them into effect who will admit your advice and will have fear of Allaah Almighty in their hearts, although they have not seen Allaah Almighty, but even then they consider that “everything which we possess, is bestowed by Allaah Almighty, Whose name is The Beneficent too and He is Who fulfills our all requirements”. They believe that His displeasure is cause of their destruction. O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him): Recite the Revelations before them and warn them from His torment! Certainly they will listen to you and choose the way of obedience. Second name of the same way of obedience is “Islam”. Give them good tidings who embrace Islam that forgiveness and noble rewards are ready for them in the Court of Allaah Almighty. As they will find peace in the life of this world, they will be forgiven in the Hereafter and will find honorable rewards too.
