Hold on the Day of Resurrection

 

Grip in the Day of Resurrection (L-148)

يا بَني إِسرائيلَ اذكُروا نِعمَتِيَ الَّتي أَنعَمتُ عَلَيكُم وَأَنّي فَضَّلتُكُم عَلَى العالَمينَ122.  وَاتَّقوا يَومًا لا تَجزي نَفسٌ عَن نَفسٍ شَيئًا وَلا يُقبَلُ مِنها عَدلٌ وَلا تَنفَعُها شَفاعَةٌ وَلا هُم يُنصَرونَ123.

122.    Yaa-Baniii- ‘Israaa-‘iilaz-kuruu ni’-matiyallaTiii ‘an-‘am-tu ‘alaykum wa ‘anNii fazzaltukum ‘alal-‘aalamiin. 123.    Wattaquu Yawmal-laa tajzii nafsun ‘an-nafsin- shay-‘anw-wa laa yuqbalu minhaa ‘adlunwa-wa laa tanfa-‘uhaa shafaa-‘atunw-wa laa hum yunsaruun.

122.   O Children of Israel! Remember My blessing which I bestowed upon you, and that I have favored you over all people. 123.   And beware of a Day when no soul will avail another soul in any way, and no ransom will be accepted from it, and no intercession will benefit it, and they will not be helped.

 We have learnt the lessons on these both verses in lessons # 55 and 60 (verses – 40 & 47). Recitation about the Children of Israel had been commenced thence and till now their scientific doctrinal and practical weaknesses are being explained. They have been invited also towards the Straight Path, that is to say, Islam. It has been proved by means of clear and bright evidences that the Last Prophet (ﷺ) is on the Truth. He is a true Messenger. Having belief in him (ﷺ) and remaining steadfast on his teachings is necessary for every individual. The Children of Israel were also instructed that they should adopt the straight path of God by leaving anger, opposing, making religious groups among themselves and stubbornness.

Now they are being reminded again for those things and being informed about the consequences on the Day of Resurrection. In this world, a person can escape by the help of any other person, reward or penalty and by recommendations, power or influence. But before God, nothing will be helpful from these things. Just every individual’s own acts and deeds will be helpful there. Tributes, fines, recommendations, friendship or help of someone else will become useless on the Doomsday.
