Tormenting Pronounced Sentence

 

Punishment of the sin (L-420)

أُولٰئِكَ لَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ وَما لَهُم مِن ناصِرينَ91b.

91b.  ‘Ulaaa-‘ika  lahum  ‘azaabun  ‘aliimunw-wa  maa  lahum-min-naasiriin.   (Section 9/17)

91b.  These will have a painful torment, and will have no saviors.

As it has been described in detail in the previous verses that after discussion with the group of Najraan, and notwithstanding believing heartily in the truth of the Messenger of God (ﷺ), the Christians did not surrender. They used to calumniate that God has said a certain thing, so and so has been written in this Scripture, whereas, they used to concoct all such sayings personally at their own.

Moreover, No Prophet or Messenger (Peace be upon him) teaches against the commandments of God. He [Prophet or Messenger (Peace be upon him)] does never say to worship him. He says always, “Be of God”. But the Nazarene changed the commands of God and did not accept. They used to differentiate between the Prophets (Peace be upon them), whereas God sent all of them with one path of guidance and taught them the lesson of Unity (Oneness of God).

After knowing these entire realities, even then, the Christians did not believe, and continued denying. They used to sell their faith being involved in the love of wealth and property, and were entangled in the worldly aims, did neither care for the Doomsday, nor arrange for their end. God pronounced that He would never show the path of guidance to such people. Moreover, as for such, their guerdon is that on them rests the curse of God and of angels (Peace be upon them) and of men combined, they will abide therein for ever. Their torment will neither be lightened, and nor will they be reprieved.

Look at the Mercy of God that He gives another chance to the mankind to repent, to be ashamed on his evil acts and be entitled of forgiveness. But the disbelievers still do not understand, refuse to God, use to become fixed on it during their entire life and do not repent till the moment of death. The whole earth full of gold would not be accepted from such people if it were offered as a ransom for their souls. They are the sinners. They would have to see their painful doom, and enjoy the severest chastisement. There will be neither any friend of them, nor helper, nor supporter and nor their any saver from God. Moreover, these people will be helpless and they will find no supporting friend. Nobody will be his or her trustworthy in the Day of Resurrection.

The wise person must take warning from these circumstances and facts. He should not spoil his Hereafter by adopting the way of astray, and should not make his future disgusting. In addition, by learning a lesson from these matters he should choose the path of goodness. 

There are two punishments mentioned in this verse:

1. A form of painful doom,  

2.   They will have no helpers.

Those friends would slip away on the support of which they were proud. They will leave them from whom they had expectations.
