Commentary

Allaah Almighty brought out Abraham (peace be upon him) safe and sound from the fire. But to whom Allaah Almighty appoints His Messenger for the guidance of the people, he does not feel comfort when he observes that the people have been going astray. The same condition is of such person in whose heart; the Light of the Messenger’s guidance has taken place. Whether the people trouble him so much, but he cannot refrain from advising them. He grieves when observes that the people are not on the right way. When they do not follow him then he complains in the Court of Allaah Almighty. After that, either his enemies are destroyed immediately or he departs from that place along with his companions. Departure from one’s Country and relatives is the Tradition of Abraham (peace be upon him), which was followed by the last Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) too.

He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) did not imprecate for his enemies but departed himself from Makkah. It was the result that at last he (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) got victory and his enemies were defeated.

Abraham (peace be upon him) caused to understand after coming out from the fire and used to say: You wish to keep up harmony and unity among yourselves only in the world. But the life of this world is only for a few days. On the Day of Resurrection, mutual dissension will arise between all of you and you will revile one another. Then you all will be thrown into the Fire of the Hell and your present false unity will be useless for you. Neither your self-made idols will be able to help you and nor your worldly friends.

It is found from the above mentioned verse that “Trust in false faiths and defective religions will be useless after death”.
