Do not err intentionally (L-263)
|
209. فَإِن زَلَلْتُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ
مَا جَآءَتْكُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ |
|
209. Fa-‘in- zalaltum-mim- ba’-di maa
jaaa-‘atkumul-Bayyi-naatu fa’-lamuuu ‘annAllaaha ‘Aziizun- Hakiim. |
|
209. But if you slip after the proofs have come to you,
know that God is Powerful and Wise. |
‘Al-Bayyi-naatu – (the clear proofs), it means those orders and instructions which have no doubt and intricacy of any kind. For instance, having Faith to believe in One God, having Belief in the rightfulness of the Last Messenger of God (Muhammad’s truism) (ﷺ) and the commands about the prayers. The entire Commandments of this kind had reached already the Jews and other groups.
Zalaltum – (you slide back), this word is from zallah which literally means ‘to reel, to stagger, to slip, to err. It happens also without discretion. So we have known from it too that being misled due to forgetting can be cause of sin also. So the repentance is required to be forsworn.
It is good luck of human being that God arranged a series of Prophets (Peace be upon them) with excellent Mercy and Kindness for guidance. To show him the straight path and cause him embracing to success, God continued sending His Selected Messengers (Peace be upon them) in different nations from time to time. Those Messengers (Peace be upon them) used to show the right path to the people who forgot and caused the straying people to save from the whirlpool, improved their moralities and cleaned them from the evil. But history of the world tells that unlucky people violated them, sometimes exiled and sometimes killed them. They dug a pit hole for themselves at their own by misbehaving like this.
At the end God sent His Last Messenger (Muhammad) (ﷺ) who explained heavenly teachings before the people of the world, showed them acting upon these teachings by his (ﷺ) good attitude, proved by creating a group of the righteous and respectable people with his companionship and company that these are the clear orders of God. And the success can be gotten by acting upon them.
How much great bad luck of the mankind is it that; in spite of getting so great dignity he deflects away from it, acts against it and becomes its enemy? The evildoers will surely be punished. Because there is no reason and excuse remained for them now. The Argument of God has been established. None of them can say now that the True Religion didn’t come unto them..jpg)
