False Reputation (L-260)

206. وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ ٱلْعِزَّةُ بِٱلْإِثْمِ ۚ فَحَسْبُهُۥ جَهَنَّمُ ۚ وَلَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ

206.  Wa  ‘izaa  qiila  lahuttaQillaaha  ‘akhazat-hul-‘izzatu  bil-‘ismi  fa-hasbuhuu  Jahannam.  Wa  la-bi’-sal-mihaad.

206.  And when he is told, “Beware of God,” his pride leads him to more sin. Hell is enough for him—a dreadful abode.

Another sign of the Hypocrisy has been described in this verse, namely, oppressing the people, claim of false dignity, establishing mischief and sedition, rebellion and defying against God; and being arrogant. When people try to admonish them that they should come to the Straight Path, leaving the matters of mischief and disturbance, fear God, pass their lives in peace and comfort, then they become more excited in mischief and sin for keeping established their untrue reputation and self made honor.

When the people say to them: Fear God, then it hits strongly to their haughtiness. Their all palaces made of false desires and liar dignity; drop down, so it divulges their secret and they remain of nowhere. So, for keeping up their dignity established, they don’t care from disobeying the Commands of God, tyrannize the people, and try to press the judgment of the people by using every lawful and unlawful weapon. God has prepared the Hell for these kinds of people, where they will be thrown, they will be burnt there forever and suffer the taste of their pride.

The aim of the Divine Law of Islam is: To normalize the Justice, rest and Peace in the world, every individual should have liberty to reap advantage from the things created by God, the facilities may be gotten for acting upon the prescribed Guidance and Teachings revealed by God and every human being may acquire his Right easily.

To achieve these all objects, the Believer helps Islam, the Infidel stands in the way and the Hypocrite is like a serpent of the sleeve (mortal enemy); that he keeps strict enmity against Islam but shows his love with Islam from his apparently claims and liar statements. But he doesn’t cause to open his hearty enmity. So he will be punished more severely.

The Hypocrite puts the greatest hindrance in getting objects of the Divine Laws of Islam, doesn’t disclose his heart’s secrets, but remains earnest in mischief and quarrelsome, ruins the crops and slaughters the cattle.
