24. Seest thou not how
Allah coineth a similitude: A Goodly Saying, as a goodly tree, its root set
firm, its branches reaching into heaven-
25. Giving its fruit at
every season by permission of its Lord? And Allah coineth the similitudes for
mankind in order that they may reflect.

Commentary
For your guidance,
Allah Almighty coins a similitude. So you should reflect into it. Belief and
good works (both) collectively give a form to the religion Islam. This Religion
(Islam) is like that pure and clean tree, root of which has been set firm
deeply in the land, to which, external disasters and fast winds etc. cannot
shake from its basement. Its branches have been spreading towards the sky on
all directions, and from it, tasteful and advantageous fruit is available at
every season, and by the permission of Allah Almighty, its blessings have been
spreading all around.
Like this, you
should consider the Islam – a Tree, root of which is “Correct Credence” and body
of which is “Laa
‘ilaaha ‘illAllaahu
Muhammadur-RasuulUllaah” {(None is worthy of worship but God; Muhammad is Messenger of
God) (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)}. How much the root
will be strong, the body will also be stronger so much. Its branches are “Good
Works”, which have been spreading into heaven. The person, who will plant this
Tree, will taste its fruit. With the Grace of God Almighty, its useful fruit
will be available always, which shall never come to an end.
