Commentary
The mankind
has been involved in the works of the world in such a way that as though; he has
to live here always. He looks dying others and perhaps thinks that he also
would have to die on a day. But he is careless as much that shivers for awhile
and then; enjoyments of the world, wealth and property, power and strength,
members of his family and people of his folk, friends and companions etc.
everything comes before his eyes, and he begins to say: Well, when I shall die,
then it will be seen. At this time, things of luxurious enjoyment are present. I
should enjoy wholly. He does not take work from prudence that every second of the
time; which passes, drags him near death.
This verse
frightens the people by a wonderful manner that “these people have been going every
moment near the Day of Resurrection, but they have turned away in heedlessness
from this side and have been engaged in their works pleasantly. They do not
think that very soon; their entire deeds will be reckoned. When any new verse
is caused to hear them, it seems apparently that they have been listening to
it, but actually they do not give ear to this side but regard to their daily
worldly play. Concept of the Hereafter has been driven out entirely from their
hearts. They have forgotten the death and the stages after death totally.
