Denying you is not an uncommon matter

Chapter “FAATIR’” - (The Creator) - 35

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

Commentary

It was commanded earlier: The hearts of these disbelievers have become dead and instead of choosing cool, comfortable abodes, they have been moving forth towards the hot wind and sun’s full heat. They have been going towards the darkness from the light. Eyes of their hearts have lost their sight. O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him): You should not be grieved if they disobey you. Your duty is to make them hear only; whether any of them hears or otherwise.

In this verse, it is commanded: If they deny you, it is not an uncommon matter because the people before them have already denied Our appointed Messengers (peace be upon them) who were sent during their times. Their Messengers (peace be upon them) produced before them clear Proofs and written Ordinances, showed them miracles and some of them produced the enlightening Scriptures, but those people turned away from all such things, saying that “we don’t believe in them because these entire are self invented”. At last they received the consequence of their denial, which is visible everywhere.

It is commanded: Open your eyes and look that in how many afflictions were they entangled who denied their Lord? Some of them were absorbed in the earth, some were drowned in water storm, some were ruined by earthquakes and some died of thunder. Allaah Almighty protect us. The same disasters may fall suddenly upon you also if you did as they did. Accordingly, you should use your sense and obey the Commandments mentioned in Holy Qur’an and follow the sayings of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him).
