32b. But of them are
some who wrong themselves and of them are some who follow middle course and
of them are some who outstrip (others) through good deeds, by Allah’s leave.
That is the Great Favour!
33. Gardens of Eden!
They enter them wearing armlets of gold and pearl and their raiment therein
is silk.

Commentary
Previously
it was commanded: We have appointed as guardians of the Scripture (Holy Qur’an)
to those whom We chose as Our bondmen. It aims, “the people of the nation who
believed in the Messenger-hood of Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace
of Allaah be upon him)”. As a whole these are the people who are heirs
of Holy Qur’an. For them, everything is this Scripture. They will try
their best to follow its Commandments for ever and will never turn away from
it.
In this
verse, the state of the individuals of the Nation has been described that they
will try to act upon the Commandments mentioned in Holy Qur’an to the
best of their ability, but even then; some of them will be such people who will
be involved in sins due to being subdued by their desires, after having belief.
Of them will be some who will follow middle course – neither will they be
engaged entirely in wrong deeds and nor will they pass their lives having full
fear of Allaah Almighty. Some of them will be those who will be very
careful and will try their best to abide by the Commands of Religious Law. Such
great Bounty of Allaah Almighty will be
upon them that they will not give any importance to their wishes. At last,
Perpetual Abode for living in the Garden will be provided to those people from
them whose belief will be safe and sound. They will be adorned therein with
bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk, from
which they used to escape due to Religious Order during their worldly life.
