The guilty will be seen in great terror

Chapter Kahf (The Cave) – 18

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

49.  And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed and thou wilt see the guilty in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, “Ah! Woe to us ! What a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small nor great, but hath counted it. And they will find all that they did, placed before them: And thy Lord will not treat anyone with injustice.
49.  Wa  wuzi-‘al-Kitaabu  fa-taral-mujrimiina  mushfi-qiina  mim-maa  fiihi  wa  yaquuluuna  yaa-waylata-naa  maa  li-haazal-kitaabi  laa  yugaadiru  sagiira-tanw-wa  laa  kabiira-tan  ‘illaaa  ‘ah-saahaa.  Wa  wajaduu  maa  ‘amiluu  haaziraa.  Wa  laa yazlimu  Rabbuka  ‘ahadaa.

Commentary

Laa  yugaadiru – (leaves nothing), origin of this word is gadar, from which mugaadaratun has come out. Gadar means “to flee, leaving”. Mugaadaratun means “to abandon, to leave, to omit, to relinquish”.

‘Ah-saahaa – (has counted), it is past tense and its origin is hasii, which means “small pebble”. ‘Ah-saahaa means “to collect, to add up”.

It is commanded: Certainly the Day of Resurrection will come. After looking own Conduct Sheet (the Book of Deeds), every individual will say being surprised! It has left nothing from my worldly deeds whether those were small or great. Everything has been recorded in it regularly.

The entire deeds of the mankind which he performed or committed being fearless in the world and he/she considered that there is none who may ask, those all will come before their sights one by one. Then those deeds will be weighed and the deed which was without sincerity, that will be weightless in the scale. The deed which will be weighty and perfect, its doer will be given good reward. And that reward will be the same as it was explained already in Holy Qur’an. Like this, the deed which will be light in weight and false, its doer will be punished for it as much as it was mentioned in Holy Qur’an without any decrease.

It is commanded: Your Lord will not treat any person with injustice. He gives full reward or punishment which every individual deserves. However the Gate of His Favors and Blessings has also been opened.
