LESSON # 37 HOLY QUR’AAN
BAQARAH - 2
Perplexity of Hypocrites
& Their Threat
Verse – 20 of 286, section -2
|
The lightening almost snatched away
their sight from them. As often as it flasheth forth for them they walk
therein, and when it darkneth against them they stand still. If Allah willed,
He could destroy their hearing and
their sight. Lo! Allah is able to do
all things.    |

Lesson
Yakhtafu – (Snatch, put out the hand suddenly
and take away). Here it means ‘to be dazzled of eyes’. Overcoming, power and magnificence
of Islam are sufficient to snatch their eyes and inspire with awe over their
  hearts.

Condition of the second kind of Hypocrites is being discussed in this
verse with more explanation and detail. In the previous verse instance of ‘the
rain’ was given to disclose their nature that they pounce towards their
advantages. But if they would have to do some labour or bear some loss then
they get rid of the situation.
       The
rain becomes cause of many advantages for the mankind. But when they look
thunder-bolt and glare in it, they cram their fingers into their ears and try
to escape from it and deny from advantages of the rain. They do not
understand that if someone has to sacrifice something and he has to be
overtaken in some trial for the cause of betterment and prosperity, he should
  not fear from it.
       This
fact enlightens from it that comfort and calamity exist collected always. If
we sacrifice our lives, wealth and children on the way of Allah then surely
success and betterment will become our fortune as the reward of sacrifice. This
behaviour is not right at all that we run behind our advantages but when the
time comes for our trial, we keep ourselves back. Allah Almighty does not
  like this.

Explanation regarding Hypocrites was begun in the beginning of this
section which has been ended here. God Almighty gave the powers of hearing
and looking to the mankind. But the Hypocrites applied these powers to get
casual advantages and to complete sensual wishes. They closed their ears and
eyes completely from looking and hearing the signs of God. They misused these
powers instead of using them for the right purpose.
       Now
God Almighty warns them that if they will not leave this behaviour, these
powers will be snatched from them. Although they close their eyes from looking
the glare of lightening due to the fear of death because their eyes are
dazzled. They cram their fingers into their ears and try to escape from listening
thunder-bolt of lightening and death. God may snatch their eye-sight and
hearing power at any time wishing they how much try to save themselves.
       God
blessed the mankind all powers of thinking, hearing and looking but whenever
he does not use them according to the Divine Law, he should have feared every
time that Allah Almighty some where may not snatch. If He delays in snatching
for some time, the mankind should not be fearless because punishment may be
delayed by Him. It is possible that He has delayed intentionally or it is due
  to His kindness.
       A
person has eyes and ears but till without the will and mood of God both
things can not become able to work. He can forfeit the man from using powers of
the organs, if He wishes. Having eyes he may not look, having ears he may not
hear and it is not impossible from His Divinity. He has established rules,
time and causes for management of this world. He can finish at once all the
infidels, hypocrites and deniers but due to established customs they get
delay so that they abstain. Despite of it if they do not shun, His calamity
thus comes upon them that as they have not ever thought. So this result existed
in the cases of mostly Hypocrites.
