Commentary
La-Nuhyi-yanna – (verily We shall
quicken), actually this word is Yuhyii; derived from ‘ihyaa-‘un,
which means “to quicken, to give life”. This word has come out from hayaat,
which means “life”.
It has been commanded in these verses that the
people who have patience in the world and do not fall in worldly enjoyments,
plays and amusements like blind insane people, they will be paid a recompense
of their good works. And the remuneration of restraining themselves; from
stupid wishes of the world; will be great.
Then it is commanded: We have established a rule
that the person, whether that is male or female, will do good works after having
belief, We shall bestow them a chaste life and give them a recompense in
proportion to the best of what they used to do.
In
this verse, there is a good and great glad tidings of future reward of virtues
that their present life (of the world) will be satisfactory and of peace. And
those who will do good works to please God Almighty, they will be paid full
recompense also in the Hereafter.
