Saying that which one does not

Chapter “Shu-‘araaa’”- (The Poets) - 26

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

                                                           

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ 225  

وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ 226  إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ 227

                                            

225.  Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley – 226.  And how they say that which they do not? 227.  Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. And those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned!

225.  ‘Alam  tara  ‘annahum  fii  kulli  waadiny-yahiimuun. 226.  Wa  ‘annahum  yaquu-luuna  maa  laa  yaf-‘aluun. 227.  ‘Illallaziina  ‘aamanuu  wa  ‘amilus-Saalihaati  wa  zakarUllaaha  kasiiranw-wan-tasaruu  mim-  ba’-di  maa  zulimuu.  Wa  saya’-lamul-laziina  zalamuuu  ‘ayya  munqalabiny-yanqalibuun.

Commentary

Yahiimuuna – (they stray), this word has come out from ha-ya-ma. Haymaan means “to ramble unemployed here and there, to wander thoughtlessly as any insane”.

‘Ayya  munqalabiny-yanqalibuuna – (what will be end of their evil deeds, what a great reverse they will be overturned).

It is commanded: The poets often think that they should create any such new article, by listening of which, the hearers begin to say! Well done. It is the reason that their thought exerts in fruitless search of meanings of different words. Most of them think that they should please the rich people and acquire some cash reward from them. But those poets are excluded from them, thoughts of whom have been established on one point by Islam. And they have made the Belief and the Goodness their aim and object. They use their poetry only for taking revenge of oppressing from disbelievers and wrongdoers. They, who have been killing the humanity being opposite to Islam, will come to know very soon that how they will be tormented, due to their wicked deeds, in the world and on the Day of Resurrection.
