                             Commentary
Tulaqqaa – (is
given), this word is from tal-qiyatun, which means “to bring a thing
together with any other”. It aims “to give or to convey”. It has been derived from
laq-yun, which means “to meet, to be joined”. The words mulaaqaat
(interview, meeting, visit) and ‘alqaa’ (inspiration) have come out from
the same.
It has
been commanded in this verse: The people, who do not believe in the Hereafter, they consider that only this world
is everything. They have become mad with love of its beauty and decoration.
They give priority to do such works, by which their respect may increase and
they may acquire more wealth and property. Their worldly deeds have been made
pleasing to them. So they have been entangled in the same deeds and wasting
their time in useless matters.
They will get nothing but despair and dejection after death.
O Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): Let them do as
they wish. Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment,
and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. Your Lord, Who is The Wise
and The Knowing, has bestowed this Qur’an to you, in which best contents
have been filled.
