Commentary
Yuuza-‘uuna – {(they) were set in battle order}, this
word has been derived from waza’, which means “to set, to prevent, to
block, to restrict”. It aims “every class was set in own separate boundary”.
Namlun – (the ants),
Laa  yahtimanna – (lest
they crush), it has come out from the word hatmun, which means “to squeeze,
to crush, to bruise”.
Allaah Almighty had given all worldly things to His Prophet Solomon (peace
be upon him). Every living being was his obedient. Whenever he (peace be upon him)
used to march, jinn, mankind and birds etc. used to remain with him at their
own places in battle order, without producing any confusion. Once upon a time,
he (peace be upon him) was passing through a field along with his armies, where
the ants had made their dwellings.
Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) heard a voice that one ant
was saying to other ants: O ants! Armies of Solomon (peace be upon him) has
been coming. I fear that they may not see you and you
not be crushed under their feet unknowingly. Therefore, hurry up! Enter your dwellings;
otherwise you will not be saved.
