What do you say now? (L-2859)

قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَأْمُرُوٓنِّىٓ أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ 64  وَلَقَدْ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ 65   بَلِ ٱللَّهَ فَٱعْبُدْ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ 66

64.  Qul  ‘afa-gayrAllaahi  ta’-muruuunniii  ‘a’-budu  ‘ayyuhal-jaahiluun. 65.  Wa  laqad  ‘uuhiya  ‘ilayka  wa  ‘ilallaziina  min-  qablik.  La-‘in  ‘ashrakta  layahbatanna  ‘amaluka  wa  latakuunanna  minal-khaasiriin. 66.  BaLillaaha  fa’-bud  wa  kum-minash-shaakiriin.

64. Say, “Is it other than God you instruct me to worship, you ignorant ones?” 65. It was revealed to you, and to those before you, that if you idolize, your works will be in vain, and you will be of the losers. 66. Rather, worship God, and be of the appreciative.

You have heard that the Authority is in the Hands of God Almighty, He will punish the disobedient, and make them rich by His Mercy who are obedient. His Mercy is very great, so any sinner must not be disappointed; although he has committed abundant sins. As and when he will incline towards God Almighty, He will forgive his sins. Then, is it not entirely stupidity that you make gods them which are helpless and powerless; leaving Such Merciful, Most Powerful and Almighty Allaah? Will even then you say that you will adore others instead of Him after hearing all explanation? This is a matter of great ignorance. Certainly sensible people will consider you uncivilized after observing your stubbornness.

After that, it is commanded: O Messenger (ﷺ): We described clearly by means of Revelation to the Prophets (Peace be upon them) before you: Not only the common people, but if even you too ascribed plurality to God Almighty (God forbid), then your entire good deeds would also be destroyed and you will also be counted among the losers. Know Allaah (The Creator)! (L-2858)

ٱللَّهُ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَكِيلٌ 62   لَّهُۥ مَقَالِيدُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ 63

62.  ‘Allaahu  Khaaliqu  kulli  shay’.  Wa  Huwa  ‘alaa  kulli  shay-‘inw-Wakiil. 63.  LaHuu  maqaaliidus-samaawaati  wal-‘arz.  Wallaziina  kafaruu  bi-‘AayaaTillaahi  ‘ulaaa-‘ika  humul-khaasiruun. (Section 6/3)

62. God is the Creator of all things, and He is in Charge of all things. 63. To Him belong the reins of the heavens and the earth. But those who blaspheme against the revelations of God—it is they who are the losers.

It was described in the previous verses that the person who bows down before God Almighty and repents from sins, God Almighty forgives his sins. Therefore every mankind should incline towards God Almighty before coming of His Doom, otherwise they will grieve. And that time’s remorse will not be useful. Remember! The person, who thought in the world that Commandments of God Almighty were false, he would be black-faced on the Day of Resurrection. And his abode will be Hell. Only such fortunate people will find salvation in the Hereafter, who complied with entire commandments of God Almighty in the world and obeyed Him in all matters.

It has been commanded in this verse: Entire Rules and Regulations have been prescribed by God Almighty for the mankind. He has right to do so because He is The Creator of everything. Looking after and supporting everything is in His Charge. He is Who created the mankind also. Therefore, He has the Power to make Rules and Regulations of life for the human being. Accordingly, He has made this Law for the mankind that He will bestow rest and peace forever after death who will remain obedient and submissive of God Almighty. And that will be disgraced and seized in His Doom who will disobey Him. To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth because He is Owner of everything. Therefore, there is no abode for them who set Him aside. The person who did not know Him in the world and falsified His Revelations, he lost everything.

Prosperity of this world is nothing. The disbelievers must not be deceived from it. Such people will be losers on the Day of Resurrection.

Comparison among the Arrogant and the Pious (L-2857)

وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ تَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُم مُّسْوَدَّةٌ أَلَيْسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ 60  وَيُنَجِّى ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلسُّوٓءُ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ 61

60.  Wa  Yawmal-Qiyaamati  taral-laziina  kazabuu  ‘alAllaahi  wujuuhuhum-muswaddah.  ‘A-laysa  fii  Jahannama  maswal-lil-mutakabbiriin. 61.  Wa  yunaj-Jillaahul-laziinat-taqaw  bimafaazatihim;  laa  yamassu-humus-suuu-‘u  wa  laa  hum  yahzanuun.

60. On the Day of Resurrection, you will see those who told lies about God with their faces blackened. Is there not a place in Hell for the arrogant? 61. And God will save those who maintained righteousness to their place of salvation. No harm will touch them, nor will they grieve.

Mafaazata – (happiness, safety), this word has been derived from fawzun, which means “success, fortune”. The aim from the word bimafaazatihim is “because they are dutiful or their place of salvation has been determined”. Mostly there are two kinds of people: –

·       Those who are arrogant {they disregard admonishing by the Prophets (Peace be upon them)}.

·       Those who are righteous (they accept that they are weak and sinful, and they are ready to obey the elders).

It is commanded: The people, who falsify the Words of God Almighty (Let us flee to God) and do not obey those Commandments which He has sent care of His Messengers (Peace be upon them), they will be in the worst condition on the Day of Resurrection, although perhaps they pass their present some days’ worldly life peacefully. Their act of falsifying the Commandments of God Almighty will become black ink and spread over their faces. Their faces will be visible dark black to their viewers. Do any individual has any doubt in it that arrogant and haughty people, who consider themselves superior to others, will be thrown into the Fire of the Hell?

Surely the abode of the proud people is the Hell. However, those who gave up committing evil deeds due to fear of God Almighty, they are dutiful and lucky people and their good luck will be cause of their salvation. God Almighty will deliver them at the place of peace by means of it. No harm will touch them and nor will they grieve.

Regret and remorse (L-2856)

أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰنِى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ 57   أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى ٱلْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِى كَرَّةً فَأَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ 58  بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَتْكَ ءَايَٰتِى فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ 59

57.  ‘Aw  taquula  law  ‘annAllaaha  hadaanii  lakuntu  minal-Muttaqiin. 58.  ‘Aw  taquula  hiina  taral-‘azaaba  law  ‘anna  lii  karratan  fa-‘akuuna  minal-Muhsiniin. 59.  Balaa  qad  jaaa-‘atka  ‘Aayaatii  fakazzabta  bihaa  wastakbarta  wa  kunta  minal-kaafiriin.

57. Or say, “Had God guided me; I would have been of the pious.” 58. Or say, when it sees the penalty, “If only I had another chance, I would be of the virtuous.” 59. Yes indeed! My Verses did come to you, but you called them lies, turned arrogant, and were of the faithless.

It is being commanded: You are being informed well before time so that; after missing the opportunity, you would not have to repent, that sometime or other any individual from you begin to say: Alas! I was entangled in the world and forgot God Almighty, otherwise Today I would not have been tormented. Some of them would be so much confused that they will begin to prate absurdity that, “God Almighty did not guide us in the world, otherwise certainly we would have been saved from evils and passed life in abstinence. Some people will say: Would that I had been returned in the world, done there good works and was included in good people.

It is commanded: Regret, remorse and useless desires of wrongdoers will not be of use on the Day of Resurrection. God Almighty will command: There had come to you My Revelations. You tell a lie that I did not arrange for your guidance in the world. Listen to it carefully! My Verses did come to you, but you called them lies, turned arrogant that what and who would guide you, and that you understand everything. Being faithless, you denied God Almighty and supported them who actually were disbelievers.

Don’t miss the opportunity! (L-2855)

وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَحْسَنَ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ بَغْتَةً وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ 55  أَن تَقُولَ نَفْسٌ يَٰحَسْرَتَىٰ عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطتُ فِى جَنۢبِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِن كُنتُ لَمِنَ ٱلسَّٰخِرِينَ 56

55.  Wattabi-‘uuu  ‘ahsana  maaa  ‘unzila  ‘ilaykum-mir-Rabbikum-  min  qabli  ‘any-ya’-tiyakumul-‘azaabu  bagtatanw-wa  ‘antum  laa  tash-‘uruun. 56.  ‘An  taquula  nafsuny-yaa-hasrataa  ‘alaa  maa  farrattu  fii  jamBillaahi  wa  ‘in-  kuntu  laminas-saakhiriin.

55. And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes upon you suddenly, while you are unaware. 56. So that a soul may not say, “How sorry I am, for having neglected my duty to God, and for having been of the scoffers.”

Fii  jamBillaahi – (in regard to God, in the Majesty of God), jamb means “a side”, the words “janaab and jaanib” have also the same meanings. It aims “complying with the Commands of God”.

‘As-saakhiriina – (mockers, scoffers), this word is plural of saakhir, which has come out from sakhara. Sakhrun means “to ridicule”. ‘Istahzaa’ means - (mockery, joke, rebuke, scorn, scoff).

It is commanded: Consequence of disbelieving in God Almighty and being involved in evil deeds is at last “Doom”, which will fall suddenly upon the wrongdoers, when they will be busy in celebrating merriments and careless from every kind of immediate seizure. Learn good things mentioned in holy Qur’an and act upon them if you are desirous to be saved from the Doom of God Almighty! It is being described to you in advance that lest you have to regret after arrival of the Doom and every evil doer begin to speak words of sorrow and woe that “Alas! I erred, did not have belief in God Almighty, disobeyed His Commandments, and considered that merriments of the world were everything. I used to ridicule the Prophets of God Almighty (Peace be upon them), their instructions, warnings and frightening. Alas!
