Way of Obedience (L-2834)

Say, “I was commanded to serve God, devoting my religion exclusively to Him. 12. And
I was commanded to be the first of those who submit.” 13. Say, “I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the punishment of a
horrendous Day.” |
It is commanded: I have not come to convey the Message verbally only to you, but the Message is a form of Command for me too. And I have been clearly told to worship Allaah Alone and to keep His worship free from adulteration. That is to say, I should neither bow down to any other than Him and nor ask for something from someone else; considering that he has power to give me. It has been commanded to me clearly that first of all I should abide by the Commands of Islam and show the people myself as a pattern of obedience. I have not come to sit comfortably and command over you without doing any work myself, but because I myself should stand firm at the command of Allaah and work hard with patience. First of all I must be ready to sacrifice my life and property in obedience to God Almighty.
God Almighty has commanded to me: I should leave no stone unturned in His obedience, and tell you the same. If (God forbid) I disobey His command in any matter, then I myself fear the punishment of Allaah and His seizure on the Day of Resurrection.
Prophet-hood
of God Almighty is not for dwelling in the world comfortably. But it is for
working hard and toiling in the Path of God Almighty wholeheartedly.
