The Manifest Loss

The Manifest Loss (L-2836)

15b.  ‘Alaa  zaalika  huwal-khusraanul-mubiin.

16.  Lahum-min  fawqihim  zulalum-minan-Naari  wa  min  tahtihim  zulal.  Zaalika  yukhawwifUllaahu  bihii  ‘IbaadaH.  Yaa-‘Ibaadi  fattaquun.

15b.  That is indeed the obvious loss.

16. They will have layers of Fire above them, and layers beneath them. That is how God strikes fear into His servants—“O My servants! Beware of Me!”

Zulalun – (awning, canopies, layers), sheets spread of the Fire, this word is plural of zullatun.

Yaa-‘Ibaadi – (O My servants), actually this word is Yaa-‘Ibaadii.

Fattaquun – (then fear Me!).

It is commanded: Do they not observe that this loss is the most open loss? They are informed that for those who turn away from God Almighty and look at others, sheets of fire will be spreading over their heads and under their feet, plait by plait like spreading clouds. In short, the layers of Fire would have been surrounding them from all around.

God Almighty made so many arrangements that He sent His Prophets (Peace be upon them), revealed His Scriptures and urged that they should recite them before the people of their folks and explain its meanings for their guidance. Then He sent a summary of all such Scriptures in the form of Qur'an to His last Prophet Muhammad (). This entire arrangement is for the purpose that he should frighten His servants from the consequence of disobedience, and that consequence is such horrible, which has been mapped out in the above mentioned verse: So O My servants! Fear My wrath, escape from paganism and infidelity, believe in God Almighty and worship Him sincerely.
