Straight Talk (L-2846)

قُلْ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَٰشِفَٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَنِى بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَٰتُ رَحْمَتِهِۦ قُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ 38b

38b.  Qul  ‘afara-‘aytum-maa  tad-‘uuna  min  duuNillaahi  ‘in  ‘araadani-yAllaahu  buzurrin  ‘aw  ‘araadanii  bi-Rahmatin  hal  hunna  mumsikaatu  RahmatiH.  Qul  hasbiyAllaah.  ‘AlayHi  yatawakkalul-Mutawak-kiluun.

38b.  Say, “Have you seen those you pray to instead of God? If God willed any harm for me, can they lift His harm? And if He willed a blessing for me, can they hold back His mercy?” Say, “God suffices for me. On Him the reliant rely.”

 It is commanded: When they admit that Creator of the heavens and the earth is God Almighty, then you must say to them: Then why do you bow down before others than God? Do you think that anyone of them has power to interfere in the management of the world? Is someone of them able that if God Almighty desire to trouble me in any matter, he may remove away the trouble? Or can they stop the mercy of God Almighty if He desire to give me some pleasure by His kindness?

O ignorant people! That, Who created these magnificent things of the universe by His Divine Power, what these lifeless idols of clay and stone can do before Him? Neither your idols can shake and nor move, neither those can see and nor hear, even those are unable to cause to fly any small two-winged insect from their bodies. How can such things remove confusion of a mankind? Not only these, but those also, who consider themselves very great, can do nothing except falling prostrate before Him with humility and seeking His favor. Tell now? Why should I bow down before these weak and helpless idols; leaving such Omnipotent and Most Powerful, Merciful and Gracious God Almighty? I can never do this. God Almighty is entirely Enough for me. He will help me in my all troubles. Every individual must have trust in Him only instead of any other. You will get nothing by trusting in someone else save Him. God Almighty can be Helpful in all conditions.
