فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ 51  أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ 52

51.  Fa-‘asaabahum  sayyi-‘aatu  maa  kasabuu.  Wallaziina  zalamuu  min  haaa-‘ulaaa-‘i  sayusiibuhum  sayyi-‘aatu  maa  kasabuu,  wa  maa  hum-  bimu’-jiziin. 52.  ‘Awa  lam  ya’-lamuuu  ‘annAllaaha  yabsutur-rizqa  li-many-yashaaa-‘u  wa yaqdir.  ‘Inna  fii  zaalika  la-‘Aayaatil-liqawminy-yu’-minuun. (Section 5/2)

51. The evils of their deeds caught up with them. And the wrongdoers among these will also be afflicted by the evils of what they earned, and they cannot prevent it. 52. Do they not know that God extends the provision to whomever He wills, and constricts it? In that are signs for people who believe.

It is commanded: Ancient people committed evil deeds; so they had to suffer their consequences, and great calamities were sent upon them due to their wicked deeds. They used to consider: We can never be seized whether we do whatsoever we wish. There is no one who may hurt us. Who are you chastising us?

O Messenger (ﷺ): Say to those from them who are wicked and rebellious: It is your false notion that you will not be interrogated. Your bad and wrong deeds will bloom surely. You cannot deny the Power of God Almighty.

How can they weaken the Messenger (ﷺ) by terrifying, trickeries or deceiving. If their hearty eyes are able to see, they would have observed that many people desire food anxiously although they try their best for earning, and many are those who have possessed much wealth without doing any work. Obviously, God Almighty extends provision for whom He wills and restricts it from whom He wills. There are great Portents in it for the believers to know God Almighty.
