Important points in Chapter “The Dawn”

Important points in “The Dawn” (L-3459)

This Chapter describes the mankind about a very important thing, to which he seldom pays attention, whereas he can never get success without understanding it thoroughly. The mankind is entangled in the changes of the outward appearance of the world. He looks changes in the morning and evening with interest and tries to enjoy from it including from the seasonal changes. He collects the things for dwelling according to the requirement of every kind of weather. He observes the things of the world coming together in different numbers. Some numbers cannot be divided into two, for example – 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 etc. which are called odd, and some numbers can be divided into two, for example – 2, 4, 6, 8 etc. which are called even. Moreover, he considers that some numbers from them are auspicious for him, but some are ill-omened (unlucky). Like this, he determines that his life is as a collection of only external circumstances.

In this Chapter, it has been described: The mankind considers that different circumstances of the world are his life, and then he is engaged in their meditation, thinks that wealth and property are substance of life. So he begins to collect all worldly things. When he does not have money in his pocket, feels himself in much trouble.

Mankind has been guided in this Chapter: Riches and poverty are nothing. Your life is some other thing. Actual life is – having belief in Allaah Almighty, bowing down before Him and obeying His Commands. Allaah Almighty desires to examine the mankind by keeping changes in the circumstances of the world and by making the mankind’s conditions different. We must carry out entire Commandments of our Lord in all circumstances and environments, and try to please Him in all conditions. If one is rich, he should spend his wealth for helping the orphans and the poor; instead of depositing in own treasury, but he should fulfill the requirements of the members of his family and needy relatives, learn and teach good manners.

Mankind should take lesson from the circumstances of ancient people who forgot the actual aim of this life and were involved in acquiring worldly pomp. They considered that actual life was – collecting of wealth and treasures; and keeping other people under control. They were punished, Allaah almighty caused them to suffer from various disasters and they were ruined. On the Day of Resurrection they will be thrown into the Hell.

Actual success of life is in it that we should obey Allaah Almighty in all conditions, be thankful to Him in prosperity and help the needy and the poor. If there is poverty, no one should consider that he is an abject and nor abase himself before other people, but execute the Commands of Allaah Almighty at any rate and become His most obedient servant. Such people will deserve the Paradise.

The Last Scene

The Last Scene (L-3458)

24.  Yaquulu  yaalaytanii  qaddamtu  li-Hayaatii.  25.  Fa-Yawma-‘izil-laa  yu-'azzibu  'AzaabaHuuu  ‘ahad.  26.  Wa  laa  yuusiqu  wasaaqa-Huuu  ‘ahad.  27.  Yaaa-‘ayyatuhan-Nafsul-mutma-'innah.  28.  ‘Irji-'iii  ‘ilaa  Rabbiki  raaziyatam-marziyyah.  29.  Fadkhulii  fii 'ibaaDii.  30.  Wadkhulii  Jannatii. (Section 1/14)

24. He will say: Ah, would that I had sent before me (some provision) for my life!  25. None punishes as He will punish on that day!  26. None binds as He then will bind.  27. But ah! You soul at peace!  28. Return unto your Lord, content in His good pleasure!  29. Enter you among My bondmen!  30. Enter you My Garden!

It is commanded: The person who disobeyed the Sayings of the Messenger of Allaah Almighty, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) in this world, will say when his eyes will be opened on the Day of Resurrection: Would that I had done such righteous works, when I was living in the world, which would have been useful for me Today (on the Day of Judgement).

Alas! The people have forgotten Allaah Almighty today (in the life of this world). They have to bear in mind that on the Day of Resurrection, Allaah Almighty will torment to His disobedient so much severely that any other cannot torment. He will seize them in such scare tying that no one else can fasten so tightly.

Contrary to them, the people who did good works in the world being satisfied from the Commandments of Allaah Almighty, and they did not have any doubt in His Revelations, it will be said to them: Return to your Lord Today happily, content in His good pleasure.

It will be commanded: Enter among My righteous servants and enter My Paradise.

What should happen?

What should happen? (L-3457)

17.  Kallaa  bal-laa  tukrimuunal-yatiima.  18.  Wa  laa  tahaaazzuuna  'alaa  ta-'aamil-miskiin.  19.  Wa  ta’-kuluunat-Turaasa  ‘aklal-lammaa.  20.  Wa  tuhibbuunal-maala  hubban- jammaa.  21.  Kallaaa  ‘izaa  dukkatil-‘arzu  dakkan  dakkaa.  22.  Wa  jaaa-'a  Rabbuka  wal-malaku  saffan  saffaa.  23.  Wa  jiii-'a  Yawma-'izim-bi-Jahannnam.  Yawma-'iziny-yatazakkarul-‘insaanu  wa  ‘annaa  lahuz-zikraa.

17. Nay, but you (for your part) honour not the orphan.  18. And urge not on the feeding of the poor.  19. And you devour heritages with devouring greed.  20. And love wealth with abounding love.  21. Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding,  22. And your Lord shall come with angels, rank on rank,  23. And hell is brought near that day; on that day man will remember, but how will the remembrance (then avail him)?

It is commanded: Wealth is not given to you for the purpose that you begin to boast, and nor the poverty is a sign of humiliation. These are due to different conditions and circumstances of the world, by which Allaah Almighty examines to every mankind. The mankind must – bring up and nourish orphans, provide food to the needy and persuade other people also to do so. The wealth is not for filling up own treasures. The Day of Resurrection will come very soon when every worldly thing will be destroyed, and the Court of Allaah Almighty will be established. The Hell will be brought forth. At that time, the eyes of the mankind will be opened. But understanding at that time will be useless. Understand now (in the life of this world) if you desire to understand, otherwise it will not be better for you.

What does man think?

What does man think? (L-3456)

14.  ‘Inna  Rabbaka  la-bil-mirsaad.  15. Fa-yaquulu  Rabbiii  ‘akraman.  16.  Wa  ‘ammaaa  ‘izaa  mabtalaahu  faqadara  'alayhi  rizqah.  Fa-yaquulu  Rabbiii  ‘ahaanan.

14. Lo! your Lord is ever watchful.  15. As for man, whenever his Lord tries him by honouring him, and is gracious unto him, he says: My Lord honours me.  16. But whenever He tries him by straitening his means of life, he says: My Lord despises me.

It is commanded: Allaah Almighty, Who created the entire universe and kept the conditions in the world changing, has been watching every individual’s working. He gives reward and punishment to everyone in the world and in the Hereafter (at both places) according to personal deeds. After that, the condition of the mankind has been described that when Allaah Almighty bestows honour, wealth and property to someone and is generous to him and favours him, he becomes very happy, behaves with boastfulness and says, "It is favour of my Lord Who has honoured me and gave wealth and property”.

On the other side, when He tries a mankind and restricts his provision, even that he feel himself very poor, then he is displeased and says, "My Lord has humiliated and disgraced me so much that I have become valueless in the sight of the people”.

The mankind should understand that riches and poverty are given to all in the world, but the aim is to examine, not for boasting or turning up one’s nose and knitting the eyebrows.

Correction of mankind’s thoughts

Correction of mankind’s thoughts (L-3455)

6.  ‘Alam  tara  kayfa  fa-'ala  Rabbuka  bi-'aad.  7.  ‘Iramaa  Zaatil-'imaad.  8.  ‘Allatii  lam  yukhlaq  misluhaa  fil-bilaad.  9.  Wa  Samuudal-laziina  jaabus-sakhra  bil-waad.  10.  Wa  Fir-'awna  zil-‘awtaad.  11.  ‘Allaziina  tagaw  fil-bilaad.  12.  Fa-‘aksaruu  fiihal-fasaad.  13.  Fasabba  'alayhim  Rabbuka  sawta  'azaab.

6. Do you not consider how your Lord dealt with (the tribe of) Aad,  7. With many-columned Iram,  8. The like of which was not created in the lands;  9. And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley;  10. And with Pharaoh, firm of might,  11. Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) in these lands,  12. And multiplied iniquity therein?  13. Therefore your Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment.

It is commanded: The people of the folk of Aad were physically very strong and powerful. They used to construct very high buildings and lofty pillars in Iram Township, and used to consider that they would remain powerful always.

Like them, there was another folk, named “Thamud”. Those people used to carve out the rocks in the valley, build their houses and used to live into them. They were contented that there was no any danger for them in future.

Just like above mentioned two folks, there was Pharaoh, the King of Egypt. He had a great Army with war equipment of every kind and was famous as “the owner of the stakes”. He also used to consider that he would remain always a powerful King.

Accordingly, all of them used to spread evil, corruption and mischief in the world during their times and oppressed the weak people. At last the wrath of Allaah almighty encircled them. They were entangled in various sorts of calamities and were ruined.
