Summary of “GAASHIYAH” – (The Overwhelming) (L-3453)
In this Chapter, the reality of human life has been caused to know that the life of this world is temporary. The actual life will be – coming back to life again after death on the Day of Resurrection, which will begin after the Judgement of everyone’s deeds. Islam does not desire to compel anyone to believe. Purpose of sending the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) is to explain the meanings of Holy Qur’an before the mankind and show them – how to act upon its Commandments. Compelling the disobedient and the disbelievers harshly to obey and believe, is not his work.
However, every mankind must understand it thoroughly that the wrongdoers will be in the worst condition on the Day of Resurrection. But the righteous believers, who act upon the Commandments of Holy Qur’an sincerely, will be very happy and enjoying all blessings in the gardens of the Paradise; sitting satisfactorily on large cushions. Leave them who deny this! All human beings will have to meet Us. We shall take accounts of every one of them, and the wrongdoers will be punished properly. Thorny trees for food and boiling water or pus flowing from wounds will be for their drinking, which will not release them from hunger or thirst, but they will be restless and confused more than earlier.
Introduction of Chapter “FAJR” (The Dawn)
This is Eighty-Ninth Chapter of Holy Qur’an according to order. It is one of those Chapters which were revealed during primary times of stay at Makkah. By swearing of the morning and ten nights, evenness and odd, the attention is drawn towards such matters; which have been discussed in this Chapter, that is to say, the standard of mankind’s honour and disgrace does not depend on it that he is rich and prosperous or poor. In the Court of Allaah Almighty, honor and disgrace is with regard to personal deeds and conduct. The mankind considers, “Money makes the mare go”, that is to say, everything is only wealth. When he achieves it; boasts, and when he does not have it; is confused.
It is commanded: Your condition is it that you run behind the
wealth like mad people and do not care in getting it whether it is a lawful way
or unlawful. Bear in mind! We note your every movement. Everything will be
opened before you when the Time will come. On that Day of Resurrection you will
come to know that Allaah Almighty punishes the disobedient very
severely, and admits the obedient in Paradise by His Mercy. But knowing all
this at that time will be useless. You can reap advantage from such knowledge
if you accept due to explaining by the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and
peace be upon him) and meditating in the verses of Holy Qur’an in the
life of this world. Salvation depends on it that you must think and believe in
all such matters which Allaah Almighty has manifested by sending His
last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) along with His
last Scripture (Glorious Qur’an), otherwise such knowledge and belief
which you will have in the life after death; will not be useful. You will get
on the Day of Resurrection reward of your worldly belief and deeds only.
