A good promise of God

Chapter Qasas”- (The Story) - 28

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

61.  Is he whom We have promised a fair promise which he will find (true) like him whom We suffer to enjoy awhile the comfort of the life of the world, then on the Day of Resurrection he will be of those arraigned?

62.  On the Day when He will call unto them and say: Where are those you imagined were my partners?

63a.  Those concerning whom the Word will have come true will say: Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray.
61.  ‘Afamanw-  wa-‘adNaahu  wa’-dan  hasanan  fahuwa  laaqiihi  kamam-matta’-Naahu  mataa-‘al-hayaatid-dunyaa  summa  huwa  Yawmal-Qiyaamati  minal-muhza-riin.

62.  Wa  Yawma  Yunaadiihim  fayaquulu  ‘ayna  shurakaaa-‘iyallaziina  kuntum  taz-‘umuun.

63a.  Qaalallaziina  haqqa  ‘alay-himul-Qawlu  Rabbanaa  haaa-‘ulaaa-‘illaziina  ‘agwaynaa.

Commentary

Muhza-riina – (presented, arraigned), this word is plural of muhzar which is Passive Participle from ‘ihzaar. Hazuur means “the presence”. Haazir means “Present, in attendance”. ‘Ihzaar means “Attendance”. Muhzar means “Royal presence, the criminal who is arrested by Police and produced before a Ruler/Judge.

Haqqa  ‘alay-himul-Qawlu – (Those upon whom the Word will have come into effect).

‘Agwaynaa – (we led to error), this is in Past Tense from the word ‘igwaa-‘un, which has come out from gayyun. Gayyun means “going astray”. ‘Igwaa-‘un means “to mislead, to lead astray”.

It is commanded: Being proud of worldly things in possession is entirely ignorance. The person who obeyed Our Commandment and We promised to give him a good reward, shall get it certainly on the Day of Resurrection. Can he be equal to that for whom We provided enjoyment of worldly life, he enjoyed and after some period he died, but then he is, on the Day of Resurrection, among those presented before Us as a wrongdoer and for punishment in the Hell?

Allaah Almighty will ask from the Idolaters on the Day of Resurrection: Why did you do wrong? Where are your so-called gods whom you used to ascribe plurality to Allaah? Before all of them, the Disciples of Satan, who were involved in misleading the mankind, will say immediately: Our Lord, these are the ones for whom we are blamed that we led to error.
