Befalling of the Word

Chapter “Naml”- (The Ant) - 27

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَآبَّةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ 82

                                       

82.  And when the Word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our Revelations.

82.  Wa  ‘izaa  waqa-‘al-Qawlu  ‘alayhim  ‘akhrajNaa  lahum  Daaabbatam-minal-‘arzi  tu-kallimuhum,  ‘annannaasa  kaanuu  bi-‘AAyaatiNaa  laa  yuuqinuun. (Section 6)

Commentary

Daaabbatan – (beast, irrational animal as opposed to man, quadruped).

It was described earlier that these people say: Tell us if you are true that when the Doomsday will come? They were replied: Surely the Day of Judgment will come but only Allaah Almighty knows concerning its correct time. Consider it a Boon till the coming of that Day. Believing would not be useful when it came. It is sufficient for your betterment to know that coming of the Day of Resurrection is unavoidable, so that you begin effort of trying to be saved immediately from the Doom of Allaah Almighty. A Token of the Judgment Day has been described in this verse. When that Token will appear, then believing will not benefit anyone.

It is commanded: When the General Resurrection will be near to befall, then We will bring forth a creature; which will speak to them and say that “the Last Day is near”. It is commanded: Purpose of bringing forth this beast will be that the people used not to believe in the Tokens which had been spreading in the world.

When even a beast will say that “which the Prophets (peace be upon them) had said, was quite true”, then there will be a clear difference between Believers and Disbelievers. And they will become totally separate from one another. And that beast himself will describe clearly that who is Believer and who is Disbeliever.

After that, carpeting of this world will be inverted (this world will be folded) and all things will be finished. In short, such unusual matters will happen, by which no one will remain doubtful in the Sayings of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him).
