Chapter “Zumar” - (The Troops) – 39
‘A-‘uu-zu
Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek
refuge in Allaah from Satan the
outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ
1 إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَٱعْبُدِ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُ ٱلدِّينَ
2 أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْخَالِصُ 3a |

1. Tanziilul-Kitaabi minAllaahil-‘Aziizil-Hakiim. 2. ‘Innaaa ‘anzalNaaa ‘ilaykal-Kitaaba bil-Haqqi fa’-buDillaaha mukhlisal-lahud-diin. 3a. ‘Alaa
Lillaahid-diinul-khaalis.

1. The
revelation of the Book is from God, the Mighty and Wise. 2. We
sent down to you the Book with the truth, so serve God, devoting your
religion to Him. 3a. Is not to God that sincere faith is due? |
‘Ad-diin – (the Religion), this word has been used at various places and it has many meanings. However here it aims “obedience and submission”.
Beginning of this Chapter is like “an Order” which is issued by a King to his subordinates. It is commanded: This written Commandment is being revealed from such Majestic King, that is to say, God Almighty, Who is the Most Powerful, Omnipotent and Who is Well Aware of everything’s reality. It is apparent that value and capacity of every Order depends on dignity and greatness of issuing Authority. Therefore, rank and dignity of That Who issues Orders, is published in the beginning of the Commandment.
After that; it is commanded: O Our Messenger (ﷺ)! All things mentioned in this Recorded Commandment, which We have been sending to you, are true and correct in all respects (because when the Sender is God Almighty, Who is Overcoming upon all and Who knows the origin of everything, then it is obvious that whatsoever will He write, will be quite correct). Therefore, every individual should be present to act upon His Commandment wholeheartedly and worship being sincere to Him in religion. And it is compulsory that his obedience and submission must be pure and free from all faults and deficiencies. And they should understand it carefully and cause to understand others that only such devotion and obedience is valuable before God Almighty; which is not to abide by only rites, but must be for Him only, entirely pure from the belief in a plurality of God Almighty and for acquiring His Pleasure.
