The wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire (L-2812)

هَٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِهِمْ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا۟ ٱلنَّارِ 59   قَالُوا۟ بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًۢا بِكُمْ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرَارُ 60   قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِى ٱلنَّارِ 61

59.  Haazaa  fawjum-muqtahimum-ma-‘akum.  Laa  marha-bam- bihim.  ‘Innahum  saalun-Naar. 60.  Qaaluu  bal  ‘antum.  Laa marhabam  bikum.  ‘Antum  qad-damtumuuhu  lanaa.  Fabi’-sal-qaraar. 61.  Qaaluu  Rabbanaa  man  -qaddama  lanaa  haazaa  fazidhu  ‘azaaban-  zi’-fan-  fin-Naar

59. “This is a crowd rushing headlong with you.” There is no welcome for them. They will be scorched by the Fire. 60. They will say, “But it is you! There is no welcome for you! It is you who brought it upon us! What a miserable end!” 61. They will say, “Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us, give him double torment in the Fire.”

 

Muqtahimun - (that who rush blindly), it is the Subject from ‘Iqtihaamun, origin of which is qahmun. Qahmun means “to interfere in any matter without thinking. ‘Iqtihaam (to interfere somewhere)

Marha-bam-  bika - (Welcome!) pleasures for them who visit.

Laa marhabam-bika - (Be away!), this word is used for showing own displeasure.

Previously it was commanded: There is a worse place of dwelling in the Day of Reckoning for those who disbelieved in God Almighty and used to rebel from His Commandments. The name of that abode is “the Hell”. All such people will be separated in groups and they will be driven towards it. One after the other will come and will be gathered on the bank of the Hell. There, they will converse with one another which are being discussed in this verse. Firstly, the group of leaders will reach and then their followers. First comers will say watching their followers: This sheep has come to enter with you into the Hell. May they be tormented and shoved everywhere, they have also come here. After hearing this, they will say: May you be punished because you misguided us in the world! Our Lord!
