Summary of Chapter Saad (L-2821)
It has been described to the mankind in this Chapter: Believe that Our Messenger (ﷺ) is true and consider that this Qur’an is an Advice and treasure of Remembrance. Disregarding its Commandments and turning away from it is sign of misfortune. Behold! Ancient people disobeyed their Prophets (Peace be upon them), so they were ruined and their abode will be Hell on the Day of Resurrection.
After that, it is commanded to the Messenger (ﷺ): Have patience on the behavior of these people by which you are afflicted in mind and meditate in the ways of life of the ancient Prophets (Peace be upon them). They used to pay attention to God Almighty in every condition. They were informed immediately on their carelessness and even if they used to commit any very little error, and they used to fall prostrate before God Almighty without any delay.
Prophet David (Peace be upon him) endured difficulties in the beginning. Eventually, God Almighty bestowed him Empire and said: We desire to appoint you Our viceroy in the earth. You must do justice among the slaves of God Almighty, follow His Commandments and do not follow your sensual desires, because following the desire leads astray. Generally; people follow their desires because they forget that they would have to give account of their entire deeds on the Day of Resurrection. This forgetfulness is a token that the mankind has gone astray from the Path of God Almighty.
Prophet Solomon (Peace be upon him) erred a little that he did not say ‘Inshaa’ ‘Allaah (If God wills) by his tongue. Therefore, his desire could not be fulfilled. When he was caused to understand, he apologized. And on his request, such Empire was bestowed to him; which apparently was not given to any other in the world. Prophet Job (Peace be upon him) had been entangled in hardship after prosperity. Diseases encircled him. At last he prayed in the Court of God Almighty, Who removed his entire difficulties. Prophets Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Peace be upon them) tried their best to obey entire Commandments of God Almighty and lived in this world; thinking always concerning the Hereafter that their life after death must be good. Prophets Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl (Peace be upon them) were seekers of God’s pleasure Who admitted them among His chosen slaves.
After that, it has been described to the human beings that their success is hidden in abstaining from evils and dwelling in fear of God Almighty, otherwise they will be suffering from various sorts of spiritual and physical misfortunes. Their attention has been drawn towards the story of Adam (Peace be upon him) that with effect from the beginning, Satan got ready to become foe of his descendants. There is only this form of escaping from his tricks that mankind should follow the last Messenger (ﷺ) in all matters.
