Introduction (The Believer) (L-2867)
This in order is Fortieth Chapter of Holy Qur’an and it is first Chapter from seven Chapters which begin with the words “Haa-Miiim”. These all Chapters come one after one continuously. Regarding correct faiths, good and evil deeds for the mankind, it has been described briefly in these Chapters.
Suratul- Mu’-min is one of the Chapters revealed during the middle times of stay at Makkah. Its name is “Gaafir” also. After mentioning the splendid names of God Almighty in the beginning, it has been described that this Qur’an has been sent by the same God; of Whom those entire names are. Only such people can have doubt in it who do not believe in Him. One must not be deceived by hearing the debates of the disbelievers in the world. God Almighty has reprieved them, otherwise what the power they have that they may oppose Him. Many rebellious people disbelieved in Him before them and opposed His Prophets (Peace be upon them). They excited disturbance for some days and at last they were ruined.
Favorite Angels (Peace be upon them) pray for the welfare of the righteous people who believe in God Almighty. Wrongdoers will be punished on the Day of Resurrection due to their wicked deeds. Record of every individual’s deeds is safe with God Almighty which will be produced before them in the Hereafter. Evildoers will feel shame on their evil deeds at that time and deplore. They will desire to come back again in this world but their such desire will not be fulfilled.
After that, circumstances of refractory King of Egypt, Pharaoh and his companions have been described. Messenger Moses (Peace be upon him) caused them to understand but they did not admit. Then one man from them, who had believed secretly, tried his best to explain before Pharaoh along with his entire nation to which he himself also belonged, but they did not accept. God Almighty saved him from their wickedness and remaining all were destroyed even in this world. On the Day of Resurrection they entire will be thrown into the Hell. There will be no form of shelter from the Doom.
Then it is commanded: We help Our Prophets (Peace be upon them) and their Believers in the both worlds and punish the disbelievers and oppressors severely later or sooner. The mankind should incline towards God Almighty, give up haughtiness and pride, otherwise his ignorance will surely bloom.
It is commanded: Why the people do not believe in God Almighty? His Omnipotence is apparent clearly from creation of the entire universe in addition to the creation of the mankind himself. It has been instructed to the Messenger (ﷺ) that he must have patience on molesting by the disbelievers. Their end will be worst. Believing after looking Our Doom will not be of use.
