41. O my people, how is it that I call you to salvation, and you
call me to the Fire? 42. You call me to reject God, and to associate with Him what I
have no knowledge of, while I call you to the Mighty Forgiver. 43a. Without a doubt, what you call me to has no say in this
world, or in the Hereafter; |
Maa liii – (What troubled me), maa means “what” and liii means “to me”. It is used for disclosure of own surprise that “How is it?” that is to say, it is strange that I do this and you do that.
Laa jarama – (Assuredly, Without a doubt), it aims “this is exactly what”.
Believing man was saying to the people of his nation: It is very strange that I have been warning to save you from a big distress, whereas you have been inviting me to do such work, consequence of which can be nothing except entering the Fire. You say to me to disbelieve in God and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge. I invite you to God, about Whom everyone knows that He is the Exalted in Might and Most Powerful, and Who is Perpetual Forgiver too (forgives errors and omissions of His slaves).
Now there is no doubt in it that those are not able to be called for help; towards whom you invite me. Neither those can help in fulfilling my requirements in this world and nor can they be useful on the Day of Resurrection. Those are totally good-for-nothing because those have no power.
