All are not alike (L-2935)

وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَهُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَلَٰكِن يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَآءُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ وَٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ مَا لَهُم مِّن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ
8
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ فَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْوَلِىُّ وَهُوَ يُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

8. Wa law shaaa-‘Allaahu laja-‘alahum ‘Ummatan-Waahida-tanw-wa laakiny-yudkhilu many-yashaaa-‘u fii RahmatiH. Waz-zaalimuuna maa lahum-minw-waliyyinw-wa laa nasiir. 9. ‘Amit-takhazuu min
duuniHiii ‘awliyaaa’. Fallaahu
Huwal-Waliyyu wa Huwa
Yuhyil-mawtaa, wa Huwa
‘alaa kulli shay-‘in
Qadiir. (Section 1/2) |

8. Had
God willed, He could have made them one community, but He admits into His
mercy whomever He wills. As for the wrongdoers, they will have no protector
and no savior. 9. Or have they adopted protectors besides him? But God is the
Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He has power over all things. |
We learned from the previous lesson that the Message of Holy Qur’an is not only for any one community, but it is for all the human beings of the world. And it also became clear that Prophet’s work (Peace be upon him) is to convey to the mankind that their all deeds will be checked. And this reckoning of accounts will be on the Day of Resurrection, when entire human beings will be gathered at one place after reproducing. There could be suspicion that why the arrangement of causing to understand was necessary, all could be made righteous and admitted in the Paradise? This suspicion has been removed in following verses:
It is commanded: God Almighty created all kinds of creatures. One of them was required to be such which might understand the difference between the good and the wrong. And for the members of that creature, there must be opportunity of choosing the way of right or wrong for oneself. That creature is “Mankind”. Of the human beings, whosoever will believe in God Almighty and act upon the Commandments of Holy Qur’an; revealed by Him; after thinking and understanding, God Almighty will be Merciful on him. But that person will tyrannise himself who will disbelieve, he will be tormented and at that Time there will be neither any protecting friend and nor helper of such person.
Therefore, the mankind should try to make own Protecting Friend and Supporter to God Almighty, so that he may not be helpless on the Day of Resurrection. What has happened with the people that they associate others with God Almighty and ask them instead of Him for help? Only God is the Protector Who gives life to the dead, and Who is over all things Competent.
