Textures of the heavens (L-2911)
|
ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ٱئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَآ أَتَيْنَا طَآئِعِينَ
11 فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَاتٍ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَىٰ فِى كُلِّ سَمَآءٍ أَمْرَهَا وَزَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَحِفْظًا ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ

11. Summastawaaa ‘ilas-samaaa-‘i wa hiya dukhaanun faqaala lahaa wa lil-‘arzi’-tiyaa taw-‘an ‘aw karhaa. Qaalataaa ‘ataynaa taaa-‘i-‘iin. 12. Faqazaahunna sab-‘a
samaawaatin fii Yawmayni
wa ‘awhaa fii
kulli samaaa-‘in ‘amrahaa.
Wa
zayyan-nas-samaaa-‘addunyaa
bi-masaabiiha wa hifzaa.
Zaalika
Taqdiirul-‘Aziizil-‘Aliim. |

Then He turned to the sky, and it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth,
“Come, willingly or unwillingly.” They said, “We come willingly.” 12. So He completed them as seven universes in two days, and He
assigned to each universe its laws. And We decorated the lower universe with
lamps, and for protection. That is the design of the Almighty, the
All-Knowing. |
It is commanded: When the sketch of the earth was prepared, then God Almighty paid attention towards the heavens. At that time, it was like smoke, which was spreading everywhere. He commanded to it and to the earth: Get ready to obey Our Command willingly or by compulsion. They both requested: We are ready to obey Your Command willingly.
After that, God Almighty created seven heavens from the matter spread like smoke within two Days and established suitable arrangement for every heaven separately. The heaven; nearest to the earth; was adorned by shining and glittering stars and the arrangements for their safety were made too. Then useful things for living creatures were produced in the earth by adjusting the effects of the heaven and the capability of the earth. It is such management which Allaah, the Omnipotent and the Knower of all things; has prepared.
It is known from these verses that the entire settlement of the heavens and the earth was completed gradually within a specified period which took six Days. Obviously these are not such Days which belong to the sun of the earth, because these both things are also the rings of the same chain of creation.
