Determined Law (L-2944)
|
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُۥ فِى حَرْثِهِۦ وَمَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ ٱلدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِۦ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِن نَّصِيبٍ
20
أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ شَرَعُوا۟ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱلدِّينِ مَا لَمْ يَأْذَنۢ بِهِ ٱللَّهُ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةُ ٱلْفَصْلِ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

20. Man kaana yuriidu harsal-‘Aakhirati Nazid lahuu fii harsih. Wa man kaana yuriidu harsad-dunyaa Nu’-tihii minhaa wa maa lahuu fil-‘Aakhirati min-nasiib. 21. ‘Am
lahum shurakaaa-‘u shara-‘uu
lahum-minad-Diini maa lam
ya’-zam- biHillaah. Wa
law-laa kalimatul-Fasli laquziya
baynahum. Wa ‘innaz-zaalimiina lahum
‘Azaabun ‘aliim. |

20.
Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We increase for him his
harvest; and whoever desires the harvest of this world, We give him thereof,
and he has no share of the Hereafter. 21. Or is it that they have partners who litigate for them
religious laws never authorized by God? Were it not for the conclusive
decision, it would have been settled between them. The wicked will have a
painful punishment. |
It is known very clearly from these verses that there are two lives for the mankind – this worldly life which will go to an end, and the life of the Hereafter which will be endless. It depends on the mankind that for which life he toils hard, whether he likes the life of this world or is desirous to arrange his life of the Day of Resurrection. Every individual must understand it carefully that only Holy Qur’an and the Messenger Muhammad (ﷺ) can guide him properly. That will be bestowed with so much fruits of his good deeds (much more than his good works) on the Day of Judgment who will choose the right path described by the Messenger (ﷺ) and God’s last Scripture. Moreover, his worldly life will also become very better itself. But the person who will desire to collect only worldly things, some things will be provided to him in this world, but in the Hereafter he will get nothing. Whatever he did in the world was useless.
Then it is commanded: Have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion to which God has not consented? They would have been punished in this world but God Almighty has fixed a Day of Judgment for this purpose. A painful punishment is ready for them who do wrong intentionally.
