Introduction of Chapter “JAASIYAH” - (CROUCHING) (L-3001)
This is forty-fifth Chapter; and sixth Chapter of Holy Qur’an starting from the word Haa. Miiim. It contains four Sections, was revealed during middle times of stay at Makkah and its name is Suratul- Jaasiyah. Jaasiyah means “in kneeling position”.
It has been described to the mankind in this Chapter: This Qur’an has been revealed from God Almighty, Who is the Mighty, the Wise. Signs of knowing Him exist in creation of the heavens, the earth, yourselves and other living creatures. Believers and those who have faith can know God Almighty by observing His Signs. Those who have sense can understand by observing the changes in the circumstances of the world that every occurrence has been happening according to an Established Order. Coming of night and day behind each other regularly, raining at due time; by means of which being fresh and alive of withered and dead land, and growing food items for the mankind and other living creatures by rainwater - are Signs of the Omnipotence of God Almighty.
O Messenger (ﷺ): We describe you these matters correct in all respects. What will these people admit if they do not believe in Our Commandments? What can be better than these? Bear in mind! The person who does not bow his head with humility after hearing the verses mentioned in Holy Qur’an and becomes deaf, the doom for him is coming, and who ridicules intentionally its verses, he is about to suffer a painful torment. Such people have been going to the Hell. After turning away from Holy Qur’an, whatever they have been doing, will be useless for them after death. Wealth and property etc. will be left behind and they themselves will be entangled in severe afflictions. Holy Qur’an guides them towards the Straight Path. Those will be suffering from painful calamities who will not follow its Commandments.
Behold! God Almighty taught you how to run ships in the sea and opened ways for you. He commanded to the sky and the earth to work for you. You must be grateful to Him. However the Believers must be careful from the Disbelievers and try to do good works always. Good retribution will be for those who do good. The disobedient people will be punished very severely. O Muslims! This Qur’an is enough for you. You should never follow them but Qur’an; who are involved in lust and desire. Good and bad cannot be similar. Those who deny the Day of Resurrection and consider that everything is only this world - are ignorant and astray. They are unable to think about the future because they do not believe in the life after death. It is their stubbornness.
