Chapter “ZUKHRUF”
- (ORNAMENTS OF GOLD) – 43
‘A-‘uu-zu
Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek
refuge in Allaah from Satan the
outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

حمٓ
1
وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ 2 إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
3
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِىٓ أُمِّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيمٌ
4
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ
5
وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
6
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
7
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 8 |

1. Haa-Miiim. 2. Wal-Kitaabil-Mubiin. 3. ‘InNaa ja-‘alNaahu Qur-‘aanan ‘Arabiyyal-la-‘allakum ta’-qiluun. 4. Wa ‘innahuu fiii ‘Ummil-Kitaabi ladayNaa la-‘aliyyun Hakiim. 5. ‘AfaNazribu ‘ankumuz-Zikra safhan ‘an- kuntum qawmam-musrifiin. 6. Wa kam ‘arsalNaa min- nabiyyin fil-‘awwaliin. 7. Wa maa ya’-tiihim-min-nabiyyin ‘illaa kaanuu bihii yastahzi-‘uun. 8. Fa-‘ahlakNaaa ‘ashadda
min-hum- batshanw-wa mazaa
Masa-lul-‘awwaliin. |

1. Ha,
Meem. 2. By
the Book that makes things clear. 3. We
made it an Arabic Quran, so that you may understand. 4. And
it is with Us, in the Source Book, sublime and wise. 5.
Shall We hold back the Reminder from you, since you are a transgressing
people? 6. How
many a prophet did We send to the ancients? 7. No
messenger came to them, but they ridiculed him. 8. We destroyed people more powerful than they, and so the
example of the ancients has passed away. |
It is commanded: Holy Qur’an is a Clear and Luminous Book. O people of Arab! We have sent it in Arabic language as a Scripture so that you might understand it, and then convey its Message verbally and practically to the people of the entire world. The most precious Book, which is full of useful instructions and advice, cannot be stopped due to your violence and mischief, because it is not only for you. All wise people of the world will reap advantage from it. It is not a new thing. The Prophets (Peace be upon them) were sent among the former peoples too. The old people used to ridicule them always. Great haughty people who used to oppose Our Prophets (Peace be upon them) were at last destroyed and became sign of lesson and an example of warning for the disobedient in the world.
