24. He
would say, “Even if I bring you better guidance than what you found your parents
following?” They would say, “We reject what you are sent with.” 25. So
We wreaked vengeance upon them. Behold, then, what was the fate of those who
deny. 26.
When Abraham said to his father and his people, “I am innocent of what you
worship. 27. Except for He who created me, for He will guide me.” |
It is commanded: After hearing from the disbelievers, the Messenger of God Almighty (Peace be upon him) gave them clear and simple answer: If I guide you towards such Path which is better than that path which was established by your forefathers, will even then you follow the religion of your forefathers? It was the best suitable question, but those people gave answer with obstinacy: We do not at all agree to your sayings. There is no question of better or worse. It was very hardheartedness.
It
is commanded: At last We caused them to taste Our hard torment which was
consequence of their clear refusal. After that it is commanded: Any intelligent
person can never stay at wrong path of his forefathers. Behold! Abraham (Peace
be upon him) said to his father and entire people of his folk very clearly: I
can never believe in your gods. I believe in the Creator; Who made me and
showed me the Right Path.
