Wealth is an unreal thing (L-2973)
|
وَلَوْلَآ أَن يَكُونَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً لَّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ
33
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَٰبًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
34
وَزُخْرُفًا وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ 35 |

33. Wa law laaa ‘any- yakuunan-naasu ‘ummatanw- waahidatal-laja-'alNaa limany-yakfuru bir-Rahmaani li-buyuutihim suqufam-min- fizzatinw-wa ma-'aarija 'alayhaa yazharuun. 34. Wa li-buyuutihim ‘abwaa-banw-wa sururan 'alayhaa yattaki-'uun. 35.
Wa zukhrufaa. Wa
‘in- kullu zaalika lammaa
mataa-'ul-hayaatid dunyaa. Wal
‘aakhiratu 'inda Rabbika
lil-muttaqiin. (Section 3/9) |

33.
Were it not that humanity would become a single community, We would have
provided those who disbelieve in the Most Gracious with roofs of silver to
their houses, and stairways by which they ascend. 34. And
doors to their houses, and furnishings on which they recline. 35. And decorations. Yet all that is nothing but the stuff of
this life. Yet the Hereafter, with your Lord, is for the righteous. |
It is commanded: You consider that in the world, wealth and property are cause of honor. Whereas near God Almighty these are baseless things, and these would have been given mostly to those who disbelieve in God Almighty, even roofs of their houses, stairs, doors, seats and other entire goods would have been of gold and silver. But this was not done with the idea that the people would adopt infidelity, otherwise houses of disbelievers would have been filled with gold and silver. O ignorant people! All such things are for living in the world; only for a few days, which will be useless in the life after death. Actual life is the life of the Day of Resurrection. Ease and comfort of that Day will only be for them who will fear God Almighty and do righteous works in the world.
