Arrogant and immoral people (L-3493)
Chapter “MAA-‘UUN” (Small Kindnesses) - 107
‘A-‘uu-zu Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah
from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ 1 فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ 2 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ 3 فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ 4 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ 5 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ 6 وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ 7 |

1. ‘Ara-'aytal-lazii yukazzibu
bid-Diin. 2. Fa-zaalikal-lazii yadu’-'ul-yatiim. 3.
Wa laa yahuzzu
'alaa ta-'aamil-miskiin. 4.
Fa-waylul-lil- musalliin. 5. ‘Allaziina
hum 'an- salaatihim saahuun.
6. ‘Allaziina hum
yuraaa-'uuna. 7. Wa
yamna-'uunal-MAA-UUN. (Section 1/32)

1. Have
you observed him who belies religion? 2. That
is he who repels the orphan, 3. And
urges not the feeding of the needy. 4. Ah,
woe unto worshippers 5. Who are
heedless of their prayer; 6. Who
would be seen (at worship) 7. Yet
refuse small kindnesses! |
With regard to order of Holy Qur’an, this is hundred-seventh Chapter. It was revealed during primary days of Islam in Makkah. Wicked people of Makkah like Walid bin Mughirah etc. have been warned in this Chapter, and after that the habits of the hypocrites were disclosed who belonged to a sect in Madinah. Such people of Makkah were so much hard-hearten that they did not believe in the punishment of wicked deeds. They were very merciless and miser. In Madinah, the hypocrites used to pray in imitation of Muslims and for showing that they were pious. This Chapter is a warning for all misers and hypocrites that they have been sowing thorns in favour of themselves by their bad deeds.
It is commanded: See the person who denies the Day of Recompense. It is the reason that he does not
distinguish between good and evil deeds. Therefore, he violates the rights of
the people, drives away the orphan, does neither provide food to the hungry and
nor encourage the feeding of the poor. So such people will be tormented on the
Day of Resurrection. Moreover, woe to those people who apparently are Muslims,
but when they offer prayer; they are heedless of their prayer and make show of
their deeds. They are so great misers that they withhold the things of daily
use from others, for example match box, small cauldron, needle and thread etc.
which, at the time of requirement, everyone takes and gives from and to one
another frankly. Every individual must think the result of such deeds and be
careful.
