Way of Salvation (L-3489)

Chapter  “’ASR” (The Declining Day) - 103

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

وَٱلْعَصْرِ 1  إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ 2  إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ 3

1.  Wal- 'ASRI.  2.  ‘Innal-‘Insaana  lafii  khusrin.  3.  ‘Illal-laziina  ‘aamanuu  wa  'amilus-saalihaati  wa  tawaa-saw  bil-Haqqi  wa  tawaa-saw  bisSabr. (Section 1/28)

1. By the declining day,  2. Lo! Man is a state of loss,  3. Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance.

It is commanded: The Time has been passing every moment. If the mankind will let it pass, then he will be in loss. He should do the following without any further delay:

1.   Believe in Allaah Almighty, His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and the Day of Resurrection.

2.   Do always righteous works along with others altogether mutually.

3.   Guide one another to remain on the Right and the Truth.

4.   Do never be disgusted from good works, and nor lose your spirit in troubles, but encourage others also.

Meditate in the history and circumstances of those who did not do these works. They never got actual success and nor ever will they be successful.

In these little three verses, every such thing has been described which a mankind must know. The entire Holy Qur’an is explanation of only these three verses.

This is one hundred and third Chapter of Holy Qur’an according to order. It is from the first Chapters of Holy Qur’an which were revealed in Makkah. It has been described in this Chapter that the mankind should value his life of this world, which has been decreasing at every moment and at the end; the mankind will be a state of loss. If he desires to escape from the loss, then he should believe, do good works and invite others also towards the truth and honesty. Be patient in difficulties and don’t care the calamities, and stand firm on Religious Commandments.
