The revelation of Qur’an on the Night of Predestination (L-3479)

Chapter  “’QADR” (Power) - 97

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)
Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ 1  وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ 2  لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ 3  تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ 4  سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ 5

1.  ‘InNaaa  ‘anzalNaahu  fii  Laylatil-QADR.  2.  Wa  maa  ‘adraaka  maa  Laylatul-Qadr.  3.  Laylatul-Qadri  khayrum-min-  ‘alfi  Shahr.  4.  Tanazzalul- malaaa-‘ikatu  war-Ruuhu  fiihaa  bi-‘izni-  Rabbihim.  Min- kulli  ‘amr.  5.  Salaamun  Hiya  hattaa  matla-'il-Fajr. (Part Three- Fourth) (Section 1/22)

1. Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination.  2. Ah, what will convey unto you what the Night of Power is!  3. The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.  4. The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.  5. (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.

It is commanded: We sent down this Qur`an during the Night of Decree. And you must know what the Night of Decree is? That is a Night better than the nights of a thousand months. On that Night, Gabriel along with other angels (peace be upon them) descend in the world by permission of their Lord for every matter which is required to be done during that entire year. Peace remains during the entire Night until the emergence of dawn.

Chapter ninety-seven is over. In Chapter “Smoke” (Dukhaan 42), it has been described concerning the 15^th Night of Sha’baan (8^th lunar month) as it has been described in this Chapter i.e. verse – 3: Lo! We revealed it on “a Blessed Night”. And here it has been said: the Night of Predestination. It is found out that these both Nights have deep relationship with each other. Brief commandments are revealed on one Night “Laylatim-Mubaarakatin” (15^th Night of Sha’baan) and detailed Commands on “Laylatil-QADR” (one from last ten Nights of Ramazaan).
