14. Is
he then unaware that Allah sees? 15. Nay,
but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 16. The lying, sinful forelock - 17. Then let him call upon his
henchmen! 18. We will call the
guards of hell. 19. Nay, Obey not
you him. But prostrate yourself, and draw near (unto Allah). |
It is commanded: That person (Abu Jahal) chose refractoriness and did not know that Allaah Almighty was looking his entire works. He considered that he was able to do all such works which he desired. No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock and throw into the trench. His forelock is full of lying, deceiving and sinning. If he says that he has many supporters and protecting friends, then let him call his associates. We also will call the angels (peace be upon them) of Hell. Thought of such person is false. You must not obey him. Prostrate your Lord and draw near to Him. Accordingly, on the day of the Battle of Badr it happened. The Muslims dragged him by his proud forelock and threw in the ditch. And on the Day of Resurrection, the angels (peace be upon them) will seize him by the forelock, pull and cast him into the Hell.
Chapter Ninety-Six is over. The mankind has been informed in
this Chapter: Allaah Almighty taught Holy Qur’an to Muhammad
(grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) by means of Divine Revelation,
in which all useful things were explained. Now if someone rebels like Abu
Jahal, he will be punished as he was punished. The important point which
has been mentioned in it, is that looking oneself powerful and possessor of a
great Army, if a man considers that he can do as he desires, whereas in fact;
his Lord has been watching him and he will have to return to Allaah
Almighty Who will torment him.
