Consequence of disbelievers (L-3004)

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ 7   يَسْمَعُ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ 8  وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِنَا شَيْـًٔا ٱتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ 9   مِّن وَرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ 10a

7.  Waylul-likulli  ‘affaakin  ‘asiim. 8.  Yasma-'u  ‘AayaaTillaahi  tutlaa  'alayhi  summa  yusirru  mustakbiran  ka-‘allam yasma'-haa.  Fabash-shirhu  bi-'Azaabin  ‘aliim. 9.  Wa  ‘izaa  'alima  min  ‘AayaatiNaa  shay-'anit-takha-zahaa  huzuwaa.  ‘Ulaaa-'ika  lahum  'azaabum-muhiin. 10a.  Minw-waraaa-'ihim  Jahannam.

7. Woe to every sinful liar. 8. Who hears God's revelations being recited to him, yet he persists arrogantly, as though he did not hear them. Announce to him a painful punishment. 9. And when he learns something of Our revelations, he takes them in mockery. For such there is a shameful punishment. 10a. Beyond them lies Hell.

It is commanded: The end of that person will be very bad who observed the Tokens of the Divine Power of God Almighty, concluded from them falsely, did wrong always, heard the verses of Holy Qur’an but became stubborn and began to brag as he heard nothing. A painful punishment is ready for him. So consider it worst tidings for him. Such is his conduct that when he knew Our verses, took them in ridicule. Very rigorous torment is for such people, by which their entire boasting will be disgraced. They consider themselves superior to all other people in the world, but on the Day of Resurrection they will have to deal with humiliation. The Hell is before them. A man named Nasr son of Alhars was such person in Makkah.
