Fruit of the Belief (L-3189)
Never think that any work you do will be in vain! Allaah Almighty knows your entire little and great works. Retribution of good works will be good and retaliation of bad works will be bad. Listen! Whatever you spend for the sake of Allaah Almighty, and give alms and charity in the obedience of His Commandment, consider it as you have been lending to Allaah Almighty. You have heard His Epithets. He is the Beneficent and the Forgiver; Who bestows everything. He orders you to spend your wealth for the purpose that He should give you more than it in the world and in the Hereafter. If you will not spend on His Command, there is utter loss of yourself in it. Obeying the Command of Master is good for every slave. Therefore, there is an opportunity for you that you must abide by the Commands of your Lord.
It is commanded: O Believers! The money which you have been spending in the Way of Allaah Almighty is as you have been giving loan to Him. Think concerning only His pleasure in spending and consider it as booty that He provided you a chance of pleasing Him by obeying His Command. If you will spend happily without any hesitation, He will return it manifold by His benevolence. He will make you succeed and you will prosper in this world by its fortune, and on the Day of Resurrection He will give you such remuneration that you will be happy and proud of your luck.
On the Day of Resurrection, every mankind will be commanded to
cross by “Pul-Siraat” (according to Muslims’ belief a Bridge over which
the righteous will pass to heaven), but there will be so much darkness that no
one will be able to see even own hand. At that time, belief of the believers
will be useful for themselves, by which they will see Light before themselves
and on their right side. That Light will move forward along with them.
Accordingly, they will cross the Pul-Siraat in the presence of that
Light. Before them will be Light of their Belief and the Light on their right
side will be of their righteous works, which they would have done in accord with
the Commandments of Holy Qur’an after having belief in Allaah
Almighty and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him).
Such Light will not be for the disbelievers.
